Does anyone happen to know if/how you can change the altitude/level of rooms in zmuds mapper?
Like, I've mapped Avechna's peak and teeth but I started at the Portal of Fate, so that is where my map altitude reads 0. Once I've walked down to the highway, I'm at altitude -13 or like that. I'd like to grab all the mapped rooms and move them 13 levels up, but so far I haven't found a way to change the altitude of rooms in the mapper...
That is, neither by use of the mapper interface nor with a function...
Maybe it can be done with the separate zMapper software, does anyone know more about that one?

Select all the rooms (you can hold the Shift key down to select multiple rooms) and use Ctrl-M or Edit/Move on the menus. Specify how many levels to move on the little dialog (you can hit the direction buttons to move them a few, or you can type a number to move them lots). Presto!
To move rooms to a new zone, which I find makes layout a whole lot easier, use Ctrl-Z or Edit/Move Rooms to Zone (or something like that).

the move dialog... THE MOVE DIALOG!!!
*runs off screaming*
you can't imagine how utterly stupid I feel now.
Talk about getting old and demented. BAH *g*
I actually did find a way to do it manually by now, though I haven't tested it yet... You can do it by executing SQL updates on the map database. In case that's something you're bold enough to trifle with *snicker*
Anyway, you da man!

You're quite welcome.
Yes, I have actually looked at the database in just Access and figured out that it's a little bit buggy in the way it handles directions. It's great for querying to find rooms with bad descriptions, invalid exits, and things like that.
