Dias, Sudoxe, Kaervas, and Mordrin, the top 4 don't contribute much to PK.
Sorry, but thats garbage. Mordrin has lost more experience defending/raiding/caputring villages than you've gained, I kept up my rank because in general I killed more than I died.
Kaervas2004-11-09 15:45:16
I've taken part in plenty of raids on Southgard and Rockholm, plus now I'm Guild Champion I'll be expected to take part in PK anyway. If I was really bothered about dying I never would have run for the job.

I've seen and felt more in this Mud than there was _ever_ in the _whole_ of Aetolia... Which makes me feel said at the nearly month of my life I spent stareing at the blast screen. I say balance problem or no balance problem, go to Aetolia and listen to people there and you will come running back. Really, really fast.

I agree that constant running about might be draining to some... but, the question is, what else would they be doing? Sitting around being all snuggly? This isn't Achaea, and I'd prefer it didn't become that. Once the cities expand, I think the quests will run perfectly, especially because, once the other cities get more people, you're more likely to be opposed in running your own quests, making it all spifftacular.
You seem to be assuming that if someone can’t find something for them to do, they’ll do nothing. Part of the reason some people have a problem with the way things are now is that the control has been removed from the individual. I really don’t think the problem is lack of choice so much has not having a choice (even if that is only the impression on not having a choice).
I think you’re overly optimistic, as things stand now, can’t the people that are on during the wee hours wreak hours worth of work in a short period?
If someone is here primarily for the PK they’re not going to see much of what is in this thread as an issue.
Asarnil2004-11-09 16:25:59
I am not here primarily for PK or Bashing but to socialise - its just I choose to take the game as it is and take part in the other aspects of the game, because I want to get the full experience out of it. Sure there is balance problems, sure there is at times constant warfare, there are PLENTY of other opportunities to do other things if you look for them.
Typhus2004-11-09 16:50:52
Indeed. I raid every now and then, but I do jewelry and enchantments more than I would ever be fighting, and talking with my Order and friends more than that. People who are constantly fighting don't seem to understand to take everything in moderation.

Look at who are above level 70 and that might explain why. It might be because Celest doesn't have the supporting manpower where they don't need everyone. Dias, Sudoxe, Kaervas, and Mordrin, the top 4 don't contribute much to PK. Daevos does.. but he doesn't die so I'll ignore him. Aesyra, Aajen, Nevyn have never gone on a raid (Aajen is a wildcard, he may have, but was never noticed). Ixion and Thur, sometimes go, but not all the time. Yuniko has never done anything PK-like. And that is the top 11.
Considering its my second time visiting. I'm abit uber late at posting. As Magnagoran, I PKed abunch. Especially when Magnagora went on one of its "bash Celests villages' sprees Even when I quit I PKed abunch. You probably didn't notice, but I've killed afew after leaving Magnagora.
