I was just wondering...since we're all supposed to be living in this place with eachother, shouldn't we call people the same things?
I've seen Seren called Serenwilders, Serenwildians among other silly things. I've also seen Magnagorian, when I believe it is Magnagoran.
One thing that confuses me is Celest. You have the city and the guild that sounds almost the same.
You also have things that change completely depending on how many people you are talking about. I.e. One Wiccan, two wiccan (No such thing as wiccans) and The Moondancers.
What do you call things?

Magnagoran, Serenwilder, Celestian
I remember finding a typo in Magnagora that instead of using "Magnagoran" to describe the people, used "Magnagor" and I thought it could be a fun new tense. Sad to see it turn out to be a typo.

Nope, we're Seren.

Serenwilders, Magnagorans, Celestians..
Not all Celestians are Celestines, but all Celestines are Celestians.

Don't forget Celestials as well.
Seren sounds good, I'll use that from now on. I like Magnagor as well, perhaps because the Viscanti description reminds me some-what of the Beastmen from Warhammer. Not quite sure why. Anyway, one kind of Beastman is called Gor, which rhymes with Magnagor and all....
We need a new name for people from Celest. One with no C's at all. The city looks like a Nautilus shell, and one street is named after that (the main street, really) so perhaps Nautili? It's different from Celestians/Celestines/Celestials.....
Tell me what you think.

Serenwilders is the generally accepted term, so far as I know, only people that call them Seren are the ones living in the forest
Celestians doesn't sound right, but its a mouthful having to always say "Citizen of Celest", so I'm hoping someone can come up with something bettter, so long as it's not Celestese (Celestese would make me feel like I was living in Shallam)..Perhaps Celesti or Celestite?
Magnagoran, Mag's, Maggies(that one's a tad dodgey), or, Zhaine's version, "Taintspawn"

I use Seren because I'm lazy and it's easier to spell.
Unknown2004-11-06 12:21:32
I use Serenwilders...I don't know if it's correct or not. Serens sounds better, maybe I'll start using that.
I call them Celestians, and Magnagorans.

On a kind of related topic, does anyone else refer to Alchemists as Alcheys? I don't know wether its just because I am an Aussie and as such habitually shorten words, but when I shortened that, I got a laugh at referring to them as a word that IRL refers to a habitual drunkard.

Seren is the forest.
I love the smell of the Seren in the morning.
Serenwilde is the commune.
Wow, Serenwilde is way cooler than the cities!

Pretty much everyone in Celest calls themselves a Celestian, so deal with it. We're not going to get over our love of the third letter of the alphabet any time soon. Muahaha.
Shamarah2004-11-06 15:34:36
People who live in Celest are called CelestIANs.
People who are in the Celestines guild are called CelestINEs.

Rilandria2004-11-06 17:29:26
I say Celestian for Celest, Magnagorans for Magnagora, and The Serenwilde for Serenwilde.
I've never actually heard Serenwilder in game... most people I know in Celest just use Serenwilde as both the people and the commune.

Shiri2004-11-06 17:47:20
I call 'em Serenwildians. Serenwilde for the people sounds just wrong, Seren is the forest name, and Serenwilders is..okay, but I just don't use it Celestians for Celest citizens, Celestines for Celestine guildmembers, and Celestials for things that live on Celestia. And Magnagorans for them.

Lightwalker for Celest
Tainted (sometimes Taintwielders.. though.. Taintmongers seems to have come up before as well :-P) for Magnagora
Savages or Wilders for Serenwilde

I just call anything non-Magnagorian "stuff to kill" saves time that way *G*
Neale2004-11-06 18:31:07
Generally I call them Serenwilders or "Hey, you lot over there..." Magnagorans, and Celestpeoples. And of course Moondancers and Hartstoners.
Gaetele2004-11-07 02:27:16
New Celest Citizens: Celestians.
Serenwilde Citizens: Serenwilders.
Magnagora Citizens: Magnagorans.
For when they come out...
Gaudiguch Citizens: ... not even going to attempt this One. (Flamers >XD)
Hallifax Citizens: Matrices?
The Cities Hallifax and Gaudiguch seem too abstract to carve good Names from.
Serenwilde Citizens: Serenwilders.
Magnagora Citizens: Magnagorans.

They're not actually matrices themselves though, are they? They just live in the OMG they live in the matrix or something NOOO we're going to have a flood of "whoah" "I can dodge bullets" crud all over the channels for like 30 years..*breathe* Okay, I'm calm. Not matrices though.
And flamers? Pshh. Just stick with boring unoriginal Gaudiguchians!
