Could shop signs, at least for now (?), cost somewhere around 75k-100k? 200k is rediculious, and literally twice as much as shops cost nowadays. Who pays much more for a sign than for the actual shop?

Shops are a waste of money, in my opinion. Well, if someone slipped me the gold, I might buy one. I'm just complaining because I'm poor. Little Beaky takes too much feeding, he eats me out of every sovereign.
After all, I am a seven foot bear. I need my Beaky to be fat if he's going to run around carrying me.

Signs are way too much gold, especially since you can drop a letter with a flame sigil.

Heh, true. If signs cost 200k, that means that with only a bit more saving you could get a clan or a shop. Hm, also in Lusternia you can easily be a wandering salesman tongue.gif

But do you really NEED shop signs for anything? You already get to have a shop description where you can put in assistants and the like huh.gif

If they have such little function should they cost that much?

Criers... We should be able to hire criers whom wander the highways advertising our goods.

Sure, and give them the health of a baby rat... That'd be fun.

Signs are kind of useful because they appear even on brief/ql and can be colorful. It's a neat concept I'd probably be interested in, but 200k is way too much. You can buy doors in cities for 10k, but signs are 200k? None of that makes sense.

City criers cost 500k, if I remember correctly.

Most, if not all shops in Magnagora went for 100k, which is what I was basing that on.

If someone payed 800k for a shop, they grossly overpaid. It's going to be ages before they start turning a profit, especially with taxes involved.

If someone managed to pay 800k for a shop, that probably means they have a great income already biggrin.gif So, probably depending how well their store goes, their profit may not be so bad. But I do believe that if they had that kind of gold with them, they can handle a lot of expense.

Shop signs do call the attention... how can you ignore a blazing red sign? But, they shouldn't be too expensive. 50k sounds reasonable enough for them.
