When I tailored greatrobes, they were set to last for upwards of 80 months. So I think it might depend on the item tailored.

Though I think it's completely realistic. If you were to use (wear and hold things in) a pack all day, every single day, for two and a half years I'm pretty sure that pack would decay to nothing.

Please don't come with realism. This is a game and needing every 3 weeks new clothes, packs, etc is more than annoying. At least packs and similar things you really need should last for at least twice the time.
Also, 80 months for something that costs easily 30k? This is ridicilous, it should at least last 120 if not 150 months.

Heh. If you want more realism in the decay times, how about having my stuff not decay when I'm not in the realms, huh? When I'm not dragging my leather pack all over the hillsides, it can last quite a bit longer.
