I wanted to try Merian race, so I reincarnated.. I miss being an Aslaran.

Any chance we'll see another free reincarnation at the end of beta?

I'd rather be able to forget my guild skills without a penalty...

Right now, being the warrior archetype pretty much sucks, but I'd hate to lose all those shiny credits from a switch.

I totally agree about either idea. I too am a warrior, and while I know we'll be getting fixed and are being looked into, I wouldn't mind replacing some of my lessons.. I didn't know much about them going in.

The only time Divine generally give free reincarnations is when they do major overhauls to the existing classes. While it would be nice to get to reincarnate at the end of beta, I don't see it happening - just out of fairness to all the people who bought reincarnation daggers or changeling cameos.

In my experience, the only free reincarnations are after major overhauls of RACES, not classes. Plenty of times they have made changes to classes (like mage diamondskin becoming int based in achaea) that majorly affect racial choices...but there's no reincarnation. Why would there be? But when they change something about pretty much EVERY race, they do it because it seems fair.

I'd say it depends on what racial changes they think are necessary. If most of the balancing issues are class based, chances are no reincarnation. If they need to rework the races significantly, I'd be surprised if they DIDN'T give us one, as a sort of 'thank you' I guess for playing through the open beta.

Meh, you knew what I meant without being pedantic. Though I have seen the major sweeping bug-fix fests attract a free reincarnation as well.

I don't like reincarnation. Well Cronus doesn't anyway. You should make do with the body the Fates gave you in the beginning.

Isn't it enough that you even get to KEEP your character?

Meh, I personally think Reincarnations are weak and bad RP. I don't believe we should even get the first one, because you are like "yes, i've a dracnari my whole life, I was burn in a dracnari family, I was raised in a dracnari village, but guess what! I"m a elf now! thats right, I have pointy ears and shiny skin but not even 30 seconds ago I had scails and a tail.


I just personally really peaved about it. I mean, sure if you Try hard enough, you COULD rp something about it, but the problem is, people won't. If I really wanted to, I could get some friends and go through a bizaree ritual and get it divine approved and all that to cause a seriously strange side affect in my charecter, hence a "reincarnation" into a new race entirly. However, in all my gameing experince, ONE person took the time to RP their reincarnation. out of the...countless reincarnators i've seen.

Perhaps I am just really fickle, and yes, I know i'm long-winded in my replies, but thats just how I feel on this.

Uhh.. I dropped credits onto my character simply because we were keeping them, if they were deleting them afterward I'd not have bought any and waited until then, it doesn't matter, keeping it or not, as that's what we were told would happen. I don't think I've been delt a favour, I could've waited.
