I thought we have it already? Didn't Lord Roark mention somewhere that you can raze with your weak and slash with your strong arm?
Unknown2004-11-17 15:53:56
Thats how its meant to work...but if you try it, you will see you lose balance when you raze and not just arm balance.

I think we can. At least now we can.
I can raze and slash a rat with separate arms. What I can't do is a double raze.
I seem to remember Wardancers on Imperian being capable of double raze. Can anyone confirm?
Unknown2004-11-17 16:11:44
Not sure about that. Would be good though for shield/aura combo
Unknown2004-11-17 16:15:04
I disagree with double raze if was desgin to strip your aura and shield defence. Knights have enough power already and double razing will be over the top in my opinion. Shiro is a guardian anyways so hes a little jealous

I second this. We really need it, and we ought to have it, right?
You got it yesterday.

Erm... Nevermind about my previous post, my facts on knights were mixed and I apologize!

If I do this
QUOTE
raze rat left hand;swing rat right hand
I get this
QUOTE
You whip an orcish flail through the air in front of an old rat, to no effect.
Your right arm is off balance.
Your right arm is off balance.
I thought that was how it is supposed to work. Am I doing it wrong?

Don't you have to target by weapon number like RAZE RAT 74350;SWING RAT 30103
Thorgal2004-11-17 16:34:53
Try it on a player instead of a mob.

Though really it probably ought to just be sentient NPCs since some animals would be too dumb to dodge like a battle-trained sentient.
I know the knights will hate me for it but...
A, it IS quite tricky and requires alot of skill to hunt any sort of small anmial that keeps dashing forth and back to escape you and then land a blow that both wounds it decently and at the same time doesn't damage your weapon.
And as for animals not dodging, if anything dodges all the time then it's animals. Only humans are dumb enough to stand still if someone's trying to attack 'em.

Ahh raze seems to be bugged:
1977h, 1743m, 2328e, 10p ex-raze rat left hand
swing rat right hand
You whip a moonstone scimitar through the air in front of a baby rat, to no
effect.
1977h, 1743m, 2328e, 10p ex-
Your right arm is off balance.
However:
1977h, 1743m, 2328e, 10p ex-raze rat right hand
swing rat left hand
You whip a moonstone scimitar through the air in front of a baby rat, to no
effect.
1977h, 1743m, 2328e, 10p ex-
You swing a moonstone scimitar at a baby rat. You cut him with a light wound.
The final blow proves too much for a baby rat, who expires, pitifully.
You have slain a baby rat.
I've bugged it, but I haven't tested it on a player though.
