I'm writing a series of short stories which just happen to follow sequential order of events, and they're called the Hallifax Chronicles. They center around a young-ish Human named Balk Desraga who lives in the now crumbled civilization of Hallifax. Turns out, time didn't stop for everyone when the cities of Hallifax and Gaudiguch were removed from the 'multiverse' of planes (i had no other word for it, hyuk).
The remaining peoples of Hallifax treat the barrier that surrounds their city with a holy fear. The eldest of the city have some inkling of why it happened, and what happened, but nobody truly knows. They keep all of Hallifax's old documents in a sacred holy place (they have become monotheistic with dwindling populations) called the Underground Book Haven, and guard everyone from entering. Eventually, Balk gets cocky, finds a book, realizes what happened, and makes his way to the ancient structure called the 'Matrix Science Institute'. Not sure where it's going from there, but I do believe he'll come back with some modern day friends to find that others have found a way to open the gates to Gaudiguch and restarted the war...all while being trapped in a limbo.
Erm, tell me what you think?

Sounds intresting. I'd say you migth be able to explain it as them having had time slow way way way down for them, so that whiel they go about normal lives, everything outside is flying by.
You do know that it can't be a human though, right? Humans didn't show up until Estarra came to the world, bringing the human race with her.

Possible twist on things....how did Balk even get to Hallifax in the first place, frozen in time as it was.

I think the point is that Hallifax has been frozen from time and space, but the people inside live on.
Whatever the case, (my tiny brain hurts), it sounds good.

I thought every aspect of the cities was frozen, and would continue right as its unfrozen.
I think that you shoul get divine permission, and then right a story about hallifax before operation paradox and such - make sort of an addition to the history.

I think they're meant to be stories, not precise histories. Nobody can really know whether the people in Hallifax are frozen inside the city or not, so if it was published now it would either have to be a fictional story, or a scientific prediction.
