How about not having fae? We know that the normal fae arent going to be peachy about Glomdoring, so why not just a new skillset, or something different entirly?

I actually was. My father was a black dragon kohdon and my mother was an alligator kohdon. I lacked the wings, had a dragon-esque head with the horns and teeth, croc plating and tail, dragonian hands and feet. I was a completely original character. Grimslade was always found in two places. Underground or near water. He was a very original character. Most newbs claim to be be dragons and all that BS, but i actually have the knowledge on black dragons to rp it properly, and not be some.....idiotic player. He was loved by the higher ups, but not liked too much among his fellow novices.

Maybe it's just me, but all this seems to imply: One, the fae in Glomdoring aren't tainted, and two, the fae in Glomdoring are all dead.

Seems a little inconsistent. The Greater Spirits are basically just very powerful fae, and yet they were tainted. But the little ones are unharmed? Me smells a fish.

close your legs......
kidding, kidding.
Thus, if the fae werent tainted, and their dead, use wraiths and such made from the fae?

Elryn believes that is because they were either bonded with mortals at the time the Taint spread into Glomdoring, and thus made themselves vulnerable, or because they were bound to the forest itself in some mystical way so that the Taint was able to infiltrate them as it warped the forest.
Just a theory he has, though.
I've already mentioned what I think of using 'dead' fae.

Okay, I know it's kinda a different situation, but you know in Princess Mononoke? (if you've seen it.) Remember how the big boar, Akoto or whatever his name was, was tainted, but all the cute li'l Kodama were unaffected? I think it's the same thing here. The "lesser" fae aren't as closely tied to the Glomdoring as Night and Raven were, so they weren't as affected by the taint. It would have been like a huge taint in the power source of the greater spirits, in the same way as those nodes exploded on all those draining them a couple days ago.

It'd be awesome if we could summon Kodama.

OMG, yes, I don't know why I didn't even think of that. I have no idea what they'd do though. Look uber cute, I guess.
Please add them. I'll love y'all forever if you do.

A small Kodama rattles its head at you quizzicly.
You stand transfixed by its cuteness.

It is possible that the greater spirits and fae have different origins. Or maybe the will of what's-his-name running the taint had no interest in the fae for some unknown reason?
Richter2004-12-03 18:56:08
Or it was just random, and our Lusternian lives really have no purpose...

You mean Kethuru?

No, Voldemort.
