Hey, I was just wondering if there were any The Elder Scrolls fans here?
Richter2004-11-24 18:50:04
Only played 3, waiting for four. Saw pictures, wet pants.

Heh, nice. Same exact post on both Imperian and Lusternia boards.
Stavon2004-11-24 23:55:30
Add me to the list.
Even if you don't like Elder Scrolls... you'll know when 4 comes out, because I will vanish from Lusternia until I am done with it.

Actually, I was midway through 3. Know what stopped me from finishing?

The Elder Scrolls series is awesome. I've completed the main quest, Telvanni House quests, Mage Guild quests, very nearly Thieves quests and got about half way through most of the other factions with various characters in Morrowind.
And Oblivion looks amazing.

Is Oblivion the name of The Elder Scrolls IV?
Freki2004-11-25 20:07:26
Yeah, Oblivion is TES: IV. More information on it here: http://www.elderscrolls.com/games/oblivion_overview.htm

Yep, another Elder Scrolls fan-boy here. (Arena + Morrowind/Tribunal/Bloodmoon.) I won't vanish from Lusternia, but I'll probably forego sleeping for a while.

Heh, I am going to need a new computer for IV. I pulled up the screen shots and my computer told me, 'Ok, I can handle you setting everything to super high in Rome Total War... you gave me enough memory and keep up to date with accelartors, but I will explode if you try and make me run that!'
So either way I think I will need a new computer... now the question is, how do I explain the top of the line graphics and sound cards, as well as the top line processors as 'school' related...

My poor laptop... Lags a tiny bit on Morrowind, but...
Le sigh

*eyes water from Oblivion screenshots*
WOW. Even just load the screenshots makes my computer lag. Too bad its actual graphics will probably kill my PC.
Is it coming out on Xbox?

Any chance there is a computer graphics class that uses AutoCad? you may be able to get away with it then

I too am an Elder Scrolls fan. If you guys haven't heard of it, there is a mod being made that is called Tamriel Rebuilt, they are trying to recreate the entire world of Tamriel in the morrowind engine. The screenshots look great, and I checked out a few of the maps. It's pretty cool.

Ironically, it was the TES editor that took me away from Morrowind proper. Never got too far in the game because everytime I feel I have things going my way, some ebbill genious comes along and releases some kick-ass mod...
Morrowind wouldnt be this engaging without the mods. Hope Oblivion has the editor too

Loved Morrowind, spent nearly a month working my way through it, working stats up to ridiculous levels, robbing house treasuries, etc. Then beat the game, and just for spite, went to see Vivec, and murderized the bug-eyed freak.
Nementh2004-12-16 04:54:55
Hehe.. my memories from Morrowind...
Well first my char was a stealthy type... Only knew illusions, mysticism, shortsword and marksmenship for offense. Light Armour, and Medium Armour, Shields, Stealth, Atheltics, and Arobics Mercentile, and the persuading skill. I pretty much ignored everything else. Combined with some great soul gems, enchanted with varius enchantments. (Had 60% Chameleon perma, perma health regen (3 points tick x2 rings) perma endurance regen on shield, etc... with six shortswords all enchanted with different effects to tip a fight. Combined with my bow, and illusion and mysticism, made a damned good fighter...
Which was good considering I forget its name, but one of the cities with a great house in it, I had killed so many of its guards refusing to pay fines when caught stealing in my early non-skilled days, that I was a perma enemy. No amount of fine paying got them to stop attacking me, and since part of the game required me to complete quests there... well if my stealth failed, it was 12 on 1 normally... and I kinda wanted to survive... Normally killed them all, or ran. What ever came first. It was fun...
