As for Magnagora being.. 'assholes' well, I'm sure you'd think the same about Celest if you weren't from there.

He's right there. Bunch of psychos. Celest's whole 'anti-taint' mindset is nice and all, but really, if they want to have ANYONE left in the world who doesn't hate them then they really shouldn't let people (characters) like Aris speak... ever.

That said, creating an alt. character can be wonderful for a different point of view! tongue.gif

edit: The above isn't meant to be serious, the first paragraph at least. Well... kinda, but not really. It's just how one of my characters sees things, ie. from a different point of view.

celest reminds me of the middle east with their "fanatical goodness"
Unknown2004-12-01 16:46:14
The Middle East is good?
Unknown2004-12-01 17:05:17
The fanatical is the relation, were being good is the difference.

They think they're good. Most people in the world disagree, but it doesn't make a difference to them. That's why they're called fanatics. I think the same thing of Celest. As much as they like to think they're filled with the Light, they're still the arrogant bastards who released the taint.

Going back to the topic of this discussion, if newbies are getting hit by runed statued while they have Grace of Innocence, then that is a bug.

I haven't seen all that many newbies who have the Grace of Innocence at all. If checking the honours of people is how you find out... I saw someone who came through the Portal about five minutes previously, and have checked many, many newbie novices, and not seen any with it. The only person I can think of who I have seen it with was Visaeris, and that was when he was flying around Celest (enemied) with it, avoiding being geysered down.

edit: Scratch that, i've seen a few people with it (after checking) - but it just doesn't seem like most newbies, or even many at all, have it.
Daganev2004-12-02 01:45:24
I imagine most reject it, just as you find few newbies with normal grace on.
Unknown2004-12-02 02:05:49
Normal grace interfers with even regular bashing though... you can't get out of newbiehood if you keep normal grace on. Innocence is a whole different critter.

I made a knight alt a week or two back just to muck around for afew hours. I managed to time it perfectly to hit with (Azar? bad with names, sorr if it isn't you) Azar's bloody newbie killing rampage through Newton Caves. Unless you have to turn ON innocence somewhere, I never had it because he ate me good.

Most people are not open minded enough to look at the game in a new light. They see the word grace and say... oh That resticts me, don't want that. Changing the word grace wouldn't stop that phenomenononeoeon
Hazar2004-12-02 02:08:19
Yeppers, it was Azar. Hate the fact that his name's so similiar to mine. He killed me, too. Later namechanged to Namit. Irritating kid.

wait a second... is the divine grace of just got eaten and fresh newbiehood the same or different from innocence...
Dumihru2004-12-02 03:12:54
Grace of Innocence = Granted to novices (help innocence)
Divine Grace = Just got eaten (help grace)

Just think of the second one as Grace of Regurgitation.
