I, personally enjoy sacrifice the most, not because of its ending message, but because of what it leaves behind:

QUOTE
You loom over the pitiful form of Shiro and plunge your hands into his chest,
ripping out his heart. You offer the bloody organ up to the Demon Lords of Nil,
and are rewarded with an ecstatic surge of power and might.
You have slain Shiro.

QUOTE
The corpse of Ekard has been spiked to a large iron cross here. Engraved above
the mutilated body are the words, 'So another soul has been sent to Nil by the
dark powers of Silvanus.'

The corpse on a cross is sweet :thumb:

We can kill people....... blink.gif
Ekard2004-11-28 10:27:15
Yea its sweet but not if you are on this cross sad.gif
I think that ripping heart looks better. but even if i think it look nice, that doesn't mean to use it on me tongue.gif

You leap into the air and launch a flying kick at your unfortunate victim.
You connect!
The final blow proves too much for your unfortunate victim, who expires, pitifully.
You have slain your unfortunate victim.

QUOTE
Sheathing yourself in the taint of Nil, you plunge your hand into the chest of
Quel, and rip out his soul. Shadowy snakes swarm from the darkness that
surrounds you and burrow into the soul of Quel, consuming his essence.
Quel's body falls lifelessly to the floor just as his soul disintegrates into
the seething mass of unholy darkness.
You have slain Quel.
Defeated, Quel is cast out of the Arena.

Ripping out souls, mmm.

QUOTE
You point at Riyo and shove your archdemon towards him. Wicked steel implements appear in his claws as he jumps on Riyo and begins carving deeply and slowly into his flesh. He screams in abject agony during this obscene torture.  Slick with blood from countless cruel wounds, Riyo gasps his final breath and dies to the demonic torture.
You have slain Riyo.

I like the torture death message. Gives me the warm and fuzzies.

You leap into the air and launch a flying kick at your unfortunate victim.
You connect!
You have scored a WORLD-SHATTERING CRITICAL HIT!!!
The final blow proves too much for your unfortunate victim, who expires, pitifully.
You have slain your unfortunate victim.

I wonder if Elder Gods get any special combat abilities. Besides, say, the ability to instantly slay a mortal or something like that.
Aris2004-12-01 03:01:19
Well, I watched Fain try and hit Ethelon, and it just used up the Timeslip defence. Apparently Elder Gods can't outwit cosmic possibilities.
Unknown2004-12-01 04:47:06
Would be funny to see a Divine zap somebody only to have it hit timeslip.
Fain2004-12-01 19:40:19
I'm afraid Zap doesn't work that way. evil.gif
Shiri2004-12-01 21:02:56
And as Ilirian's mis-shout (I think) just reminded me, who could forget the amusing occy-style enlightenment deaths!

QUOTE
You thrust your palm towards Tharruk and a burst of silver light shoots out
from your palm and burns into Tharruk, who cries out in pain.
A frown on Tharruk's face suddenly changes to horror as his skin begins to glow
with an inner silver light. Moonlight erupts from the pores of his skin as he
tries to scream but is instead consumed by the power of the moon.
You have slain Tharruk.

Moonburst is awesome.

QUOTE
Calling upon the divine light of Celestia, you reach out and press a glowing hand against the chest of Valek. Your fingers seize upon his soul and you draw it out, purifying it in the divine fire that now surrounds your fist.
Valek's body falls lifelessly to the floor just as his soul explodes in a blaze
of holy flames.
You have slain Valek.

Cleansing of the soul is sooooooo good for you

"Person slides to the ground and dies, wrapped in the steaming coils of his own intestines."

Mmm, bloody. Just try to imagine the scene...
