Do you know what we need, we need skirts, I mean if you look at tailoring you can have things like tunics, and shirts. Pretty much everything except skirts. Well I don't think we can anyway. But if you think about it girls would have to wear pants, if they wanted to wear tops. AND if they wanted to wear something breezy, because you know everyone just absalotly loves the breeze, well they would need to wear a dress, or gown. Its crazy. And come on all you straight men out there wouldn't you just love to wear a mini-skirt... or you know see a girl in them either way whatever floats your boat.

I want a cape.
But, if you've seen The Incredibles, maybe that isn't such a good idea...

No mini-skirts, please, this is a medieval-style fantasy world, not a tinysex world.
Unknown2004-12-01 04:04:41
A skirt pattern would be nice at least, I'm sure. Though I'm also sure it's coming, just give it time.

DAMNIT. No wonder everyone hates me. I thought this was a sexually-oriented mud?

So THAT's why you kept sending me those letters!

It also explains those plans I've seen of his Glomdoring commune.

I'd like to second that cape idea.
Qaletaqa2004-12-01 11:55:42
I am quite frankly not impressed with the types of clothing. I was hoping for more medieval themed clothing. I mean why the hell would I wear boxers my character didn't even know about them until he was told what they were.
Its like telling someone they lose brain-cells when they smoke a pipe when there is no way they would even know what a brain cell was.
What the hell is a brain cell anyways? A cage of brains?
Since when did women wear panties? Thongs? 'MINI' SKIRTS! Rubbish! What the hell! Just lift the frock and go at it for the love of God.

I wish there were, instead of all this kinky stuff, breeches, and tunics, and surcoats, and garters, and gowns, and bonnets, and you get my drift. I always thought "thongs", "panties" and "provocative mini-skirts" don't exactly fit.
Neale2004-12-01 18:57:35
Tabbards. (Unless they've put them in while I wasn't looking.) Face it, the tabbard is the most useful piece of clothing, ever.

Exactly right. Achaea was jam full of tailors who, basically, competed to make the "sexiest" item of clothing they could, and when you went shopping for clothes, that was about 90% of what was on offer. More, in some places. Not so much like that on Lusternia, thankfully. And Neale, what's a tabbard? I keep thinking it's something you stick a sword in, but I KNOW that's a scabbard 0_o

Transcendent Tailor. Irritates me to no end that there are currently NINE public lingerie patterns.

Heh, well, basically a tabbard (tabard?) is an apron. It's simple and cheap. Generally you make it up in 2 or 3 colors and it shows which group you're fighting with (green tabbard with white trim, black tabbard with red slash, etc.)... And they're basic enough that everyone should be able to afford a bunch, so you could, say, clothe your entire guild in the guild colours. http://www.waterwitch.org/medieval/garments-men/tabard.html
Eldril2004-12-01 19:08:21
Maybe it's just me, but the idea of calling any lingerie 'public' fills me with disturbing glee.
tarquin2004-12-01 21:37:19
Yeah I have to say I don't really want mini-skirts around, I just wanted a gimick to make people read this post. But I do really want skirts because I mean it is crazy that people can't wear skirts, they are just so pretty, and they do fit kind of into a olden day setting maybe. What is the point of having really nice feminie shirts, and only being able to wear pants with them.
Rhysus2004-12-01 21:50:51
As an aside, if there are t-shirts in Lusternia, I quit.
Unknown2004-12-01 21:56:37
Amen.
