Alright, just to start off, this is an ooc post, and not an indication of what my character would do. Indeed, even Visaeris has said that I should -not- do this.
We get enemied, we get killed. We're hated for wanting to bring back crow.
This is what I propose. I burn down your forest. I cut down all your trees. I get a party together to kill hart. We hate you because you want hart, you hate us because we want crow. Fair?
I kill your novices, as you've killed ours. I hunt them down to the ends of the game until you issue me over and over again. I make you cry out in horror at the destruction that a man with nothing to lose can bring down upon you.
Just a thought.

It'd certainly be an interesting turn of events.
Shiri2004-12-01 20:40:47
Except that, of course, there are currently far too few disciples to actually do anything of, um...nearly anything. I mean, it'd be nice, and I'm sure it'll be interesting if/when Glomdoring finally arrives, but right now you'd just get creamed.

Think of it logically. Serenwilde is full of hundreds of people. DoC isn't.
Raiha2004-12-01 20:43:49
Bad day, Richter?
Richter2004-12-01 20:44:00
All I'd lose is levels. Eventualy, I'd have everyone on avenger. I can still chop down trees, I can still kill your novices.
But hey, just thowing out ideas...
(200th post, go me)
Edit: and no, just bored at work, thinking of what to do when I come home and play. Worksheets on diabetic care supplies and preventive care are driving me nuts. Horay for customer service.

Forget Crow. Restore Raven. Form a commune. That doesn't mean you have to be cuddly with Serenwilde.
Richter2004-12-01 21:17:35
They'd still want to kill us. And I wonder if the quests are set up so that we can restore either.
Unknown2004-12-01 21:24:02
Actually, since Serenwilde and Gloriana were close allies before the Taint was unleashed. If you cleansed Glomdoring of the Taint to form Gloriana again, (as well as restoring Night and Raven), you'd find Serenwilde would be friendly with you again.
After all, originally, Ackleberry, Serenwilde and Gloriana all had the same ideals, as far as I'm aware. That only changed because Gloriana was tainted, Ackleberry phased out of reality, leaving Serenwilde alone.

Rhysus2004-12-01 21:48:37
But that would be boring. DoC needs to get more organized and start figuring out ways to actively harm the Serenwilde without actually going out and just hunting its members.
Unknown2004-12-01 21:57:30
Yeah. Having Gloriana and Serenwilde existing at the same time WOULD be boring. Glomdoring and Serenwilde much more fun.
Unknown2004-12-01 23:03:32
Where in the histories does it say they were close friends?
Personally I'm sick of the Undead Forest motiff. Ravenloft, Darkenwood, the Tzimisce and Tremere from White-Wolf. I want something primal but noble in a natural state that doesn't have to be classified as evil but can be considered ominous or dark. I want the Unseelie Court or the Wilde.

As long as Gloriana-Serenwilde doesn't become like the little sibling-big sibling thing we've seen in Achaea with Cyrene-Shallam, I'd be fine. If its gonna end up like that, then there's no point.
Unknown2004-12-02 00:03:15
DoC. / Serenwilde.
You might do okay if you had allies, though, and if Visaeris had access to all of his Archetype, even if it were a new one. Good luck on that one.

Remember, not that I would, but it's an interesting scenario.

Actually, it wouldn't be that bad. If your a good enough fighter and --QUIET-- about it, you could very easily have a one man team do what you are suggesting.
Its been done many times. Aetolia had that happen to them for years.
One man went around exterminating the forests.

Before the Taint was unleashed, Ackleberry, Gloriana and Serenwilde were all communes with the same targets - healing the Basin from Kethuru's attack. Therefore they were allies.
When the Taint was unleashed again, Gloriana was destroyed. Although a few saw it coming and fled, most (like Rowena) didn't want to abandon their home and the forest. Ackleberry got scared and phased out of reality.
Therefore, if all three were restored, then they would be allies again.

Actualy, in Aetolia, it was two... A druid harvesting, and the other fellow burning down the rooms.
Or... didn't everyone know that was happening? Hehe...

Actually it was a Sentinel following an Occultist around, with others who gone onto Polyargos to wait for it to happen.
