QUOTE(Shiri @ Dec 5 2004, 10:03 PM)
I think we could do with a furrikin GUY Divine.

I have a fuzzy beard.

for those who weren't in the discussion of the events that lead to the elder wars. how can we find out about it?
Unknown2004-12-07 22:16:26
hopefully someone logged it.

QUOTE(Alyvia Gladheon @ Dec 7 2004, 09:49 PM)
So, that's what Fain posted about when Lisaera came back? About not forgeting what She had done?
14713
Well, if Lisaera would let me post that then I will, because it was so sad when she said it. Yes, it made me cry...
Unknown2004-12-07 22:20:19
drools

Yeah, but y'know, I just can't picture You as a li'l fox dude or something now. I have the image of Barrett imprinted in my brain whenever Your name comes to mind. So we still need a furrikin god.
Hazar2004-12-08 23:22:55
I would kill for a Vernal God right now, but I guess I'll have to settle for an Elder God instead. Circles have mercy on us poor eight graders with all of our testing...I always find this things out about a week after they happen.
Richter2004-12-08 23:39:10
The Furrikin god will return by jumping out of Auseklis' beard.
Hazar2004-12-08 23:43:21
Or maybe he IS Auskelis' beard.
Richter2004-12-08 23:50:26
Touche.
Shiri2004-12-09 00:13:48
Of course! How could I have been so stupid? Auseklis must've been hinting that from the start!
Hazar2004-12-09 00:17:06
What can I say? Some are just more perceptive then others.
Richter2004-12-09 00:52:41
I'd like to think so.
Daganev2004-12-09 01:28:27
so um yeah.. 7 circles... Where does Highmagic fit into all this?

I'd believe it. Especially if we got to call Auseklis "Ymir" because of this.
(read your Norse mythology, kids)

Not quite sure if either Lowmagic or Highmagic fits into this Divine Scheme
Daganev2004-12-09 03:47:29
high magic is supposedly the language of creation isn't it? or atleast the language of the divine in some way...
Jasper2004-12-09 04:03:37
I have never heard of that.
It says that arranged upon a diagram called the Tree of Life, but that does not mean it is the language of creation or the language of the Divine. Perhaps one of the Divine would know? That is rather interesting though, yep.

Well here is where my theory comes from...
"Cosmic magic involves the manipulation of the fabric of creation itself. Requiring a study in High Magic to even begin its study, ..."
"He is known most notably for His mastery of Magic, using His knowledge and power to assist in maintaining the very fabric of reality and orderly creation."
"High Magic is a branch of magical knowledge surrounding the study of the cabala, or spheres of energies, also known as sephiroth, that compose the universe."
"Rituals is sometimes associated with High Magic because both were established in civilized urban environments."
The last quote however makes this all very interesting.
What is it about cities and moving beyond the "natural?"
All natural magics are connected to the ethereal plane which is only one level above the prime plane, where as the highmagic related skills tend to draw from even higher planes.
*edit.. someone made a mistake I repeated the mistake.. bad me.

Highmagic compared to what the Elder Gods did could be compared to a blind man with no sense of feeling attempting to knit or unravel part of a quilt the size of Asia.
Works for little things, but it's not really anything in comparison. Lowmagic on the other hand attempts to manipulate what has evolved from that creation - auras and the fields of energy surrounded all living, and some non-living, things.
Both are equally valid and powerful. Neither have much to do with Us.
