What did the Elder Gods do before there were things to be ruled over? Just seems pretty odd that they'd be lording over shrubs and bunnies with realms dedicated to knowledge, combat, etc without sentient life around. Unless there were lost races that were destroyed before the splintering of the remaining Elders.
Lisaera2004-12-09 10:46:45
I don't rule over anything now, and I didn't then.
We also don't have realms, We have interests. Our personalities don't require mortal affirmation, We are not made up of belief or anything like that. If no mortal believes I exist, they're just stupid, I'll still be here. Vernal Gods are the ones that need mortals to survive.
Considering Dynara created an entire universe, it's a little arrogant to think that you are the only things in it, no?

What did you do during those times then? Well... except run from the soulless and try not to get unmade by them?
For your interests, do your interests ever change? Or have they been ingrained into what you beleive yourself to be to the point where you are your interests?
Dynara created a lot, but so far, besides the DemonLords, Supernals, and Fae, there haven't been many sentient things around to show me what sort of things existed before my lowly mortal coil. I'm still waiting to find out how all the Gods lost an entire plane of creation and are only now finding their way back to it.

No, we're not our interests. Myself, Fain, Raezon and possibly some others I haven't thought of have very much changed our interests based on events that have happened to Us in the past. Others have altered their views of the world due to various events (e.g. Lisaera). Having said that, we're probably still the same Gods underneath it all, just as mortals would be if important events happened to them.

The Furrikin god will return by jumping out of Auseklis' beard.
15091
Whilst I have lost some things in My beard in the past, I don't think one of them was a God.

Actually, what is weird...is that Terentia and Lisaera knew of mortals when they came back. When the other Gods fragmented as a Last Option, I assumed Terentia, Lisaera and the others had already fled. They were either told about what the Fragmented Gods would do before they left, or they just don't care...
Unknown2004-12-09 13:36:32
No, I think it had something to do with Lord Meridian and something like before he fragemented he asked Lady Terentia to flee rather then die. *drools over the imense history of the elders*

Roark's realm, if that term is even applicable, is himself.
Unknown2004-12-09 13:54:55
Roark is so cool..

I didn't. Read My post to the Taint thread for more clarification.

Davrick, one of the major things I did before I even noticed the Soulless was travel across the cosmos and Awaken the spirits of things that I felt had the potential for life, and hunt down the half-formed beings that became a threat to other parts of creation.

We didn't "lose" a plane. The Prime Material Plane exists on more than just Lusternia. Furthermore, just because you can't see something doesn't mean it isn't there, and as I have said before, it is arrogant to assume that only your surroundings and the things you know exist in the entire universe.
Unknown2004-12-09 16:31:33
I'm guessing Terentia DID stay behind long enough to see Meridian, Tae, Mugwumpoi and the other Fragmented Gods splinter, then? Since as soon as she came to Lusternia, she went to her Fulcrux and spoke to mortals, and didn't seem particularily shocked to see them.
I always forget that you only recently came to Lusternia, Lisaera. It feels like you've been around for aaages.

I can't wait until the entire elder history is revealed... *bounces* I want to know more!!
Iridiel2004-12-09 16:57:00
Is difficult to think Lady Lisaera doesn't exists when She shouts and is visible... You can always try closing your eyes, covering them with your hands and saying "she is not real, she is not real" *grin*

She didn't. She asked where Meridian was and was sad to learn what had happened to him.
Hehe.. and everyone loves Roark!
Unknown2004-12-09 18:52:31
Then why wasn't she a little bit confused by the presence of mortals? She acted like she had been amongst humans centuries before.
Terentia2004-12-09 19:59:09
Maybe because all the silly little mortals were too busy asking random questions and arguing with each other to let her act confused. :P
Unknown2004-12-09 21:34:33
So true.
That's actually why I left a little early. Everyone was trying to be witty, and it got annoying. I SWEAR half of the people there were hitting on you.

Daganev2004-12-09 21:45:14
I don't see why its arrogant to believe that the large diversity of beings found in the basin on the prime plain, in comparrison to the fairly homogenous beings on the outer planes would be the center and only creation of the like in existance. Sure we know there are yet unexplored places, but when the Basin is so diverse and the outer planes so undiverse (is that a word?) I just don't see the arrogance in that.
Lisaera2004-12-09 23:36:09
You don't think it's arrogant to think that you are the centre of the universe? I think you may want to look up megalomania...
Also, "outer planes" is rather subjective. Since We have all been far beyond the Astral on Lusternia as well as what you might call more traditional "horizontal" movement off Lusternia or onto other parts of Lusternia, calling something "outer" is a little flimsy.

Life is the center of universe to everyh person, since they can only feel what they touch, and only see what they see. We all know life exists outside of us, but to us, it is life, so it is our center of the universe. If we weren't there, there'd be no center of the universe for us.
Auseklis2004-12-10 09:23:46
Just because you can't perceive much of the life on the outer planes doesn't mean it isn't there.
