Hmm. So what exactly did these Aspects and Hollow Ones do? I only know about the dragons...which WERE kinda lame, granted...=/

Once someone on Imperian reaches level 100, they take on an aspect of the moon (Terror, Change, something else). Not exactly sure about the specifics, but I know from there they compete for control of monoliths which are scattered about the land, which, if I recall correctly, are required for their aspect powers/maintaining their aspect form.
On Aetolia, at level 99, you become a Tekal (Supposedly theres 2 others, which nobody has become), which is basically a lot better stats, a bunch of resistences, and level 1 faster bal/eq.

Not so much the stats and skills or whatever, I just thought their concept was cool. 'Hollow', like above all the petty good and evil things... though that was really more suited to Aetolia than other places.

Heh, I finally know something everyone else doesn't? *beam*
On Aetolia, read help tekal, azudim, and yelani. Since tekal is the only one people have chosen so far, it is the only one with Amazing stats. I'm at work now though, anyone want to post Tekal stats?

A Tekal's base statistics are:
Strength : 16 Dexterity: 16 Constitution: 16
Intelligence: 16 Size : 16
Tekal:
- Understand all mortal languages.
- Have a level 2 resistance to cutting damage.
- Have a level 2 resistance to blunt damage.
- Have a level 2 resistance to magical damage.
- Have a level 3 resistance to fire damage.
- Have a level 3 resistance to cold damage.
- Have a level 3 resistance to poison damage.
- Have a level 2 resistance to asphyxiation damage.
- Have a level 3 resistance to electrical damage.
- Have a level 1 resistance to psychic damage.
- Have faster balance, level 1.
- Regain equilibrium faster, level 1.
- Have infravision.
On another note, I don't think people really know what to do to get Azudim and Yeleni. It's not so much a choosing thing, but theres speculation that it's alignment based or something.

This is the thread with all of the ideas we had over on the MSN board:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As for Vernal status at 100, I am fairly confident that it won't be that way. Think about Princess Merilynth. I srongly dubt she was at a lvl 99 state. I don't think Gorob was at lvl 99 state, nor any of the other vernals. I especially don't think this, for none of them were Titans, they were "regular" folk.
In this line of reasoning, I don't see it Vernal as being a state you gain by level.
Edit: Had the link in here, but it didn't seem to be working. I'll try and see if I can get it anotehr way.
From what I understood, it was just a choice. When I was there, two had hit lv100, they were both monks, and tekal was actually the best choice. Luminary would choose yelani, indorani would choose azudim, likely.
and it wasn't the best fighters that were vernal gods. only Urlach and the dwarf vernal god. (forgot his name) we're actually warriors. The rest weren't weaker then them but they spent their time in ways which better help their cause behind the vernal war.
The idea I have for this is that the cities will pick someone to send to their nexus. Unless all a Vernal God would have to do was a quest to get rid of a Soulless God, the cities would probably pick their best fighters to take care of the job. Or maybe there would be different paths for Vernal Gods to take, "direct fighting" type or a "questing to indirectly harm" type. Who knows.
Roark2004-12-07 02:33:43
The ??? for level 100 is leftover from when we were still undecided and should have been changed. The official name for level 100, following the level 99 "Titan", is "Uber Titan".
I think the only possible way for someone to be risen to Vernal god, is the two lost cities. I think besides them.. everyone else from the time of the taint wars is gone. or skeleton or ghost things.
Actually, it was Ladantine who pieced together the process. Hallifax and Gaudiguch would be just as ignorant as everyone else.
Dritex2004-12-07 07:54:27
Ladantine was just planning on doing it. The people of Celest obviously didn't need him to raise the Princess. It would thus be likely to guess that the other two cities would know as well.
Chapter 29 of the History of the Holy Celestine Empire shows were Ladantine first broaches it to Marilynth, while Chapter 35 again clearly references it as Ladantine's idea. It's possible that the theoretical groundwork for the ritual was common knowledge among the cities, but I think it more probable that Ladantine would have pieced it together himself, given that his genius for planar physics was clearly beyond the scholarship of the other cities. Obviously, Ladantine didn't communicate the process directly to Marilynth during the recorded histories, which may indicate the knowledge was at least available to some people in Celest. Even so, it makes absolutely no sense at all to let that kind of information spread, especially from the standpoint of an Empire. If it did, as you suggest, any city could have potentially raised a Vernal God, which would certainly threaten Ladantine's Empire. More likely, it was secret knowledge Marilynth was privy to as Ladantine's daughter, heir, and apparently public voice.
Dritex2004-12-07 08:38:28
You're probably right that it wasn't just common knowledge. My guess would be that it was known to the higher ups of the cities.
And I don't think anyone woudl have just raised a vernal god. First off, they would have to have major support from others so as to gain teh boost in the spell to raise them. And with the weakend state Vernals are in when they are first raised, it would give prompt for another city to raise a vernal to be sure they weren't overpowered.
Also, Vernal gods are more ment for the lines of battle against the Souless. If there is no threat, there really doesn't seem to be much of a reason that the citizens might raise someone to Vernal.
By the way, on Aet, you don't choose between Tekal, Yeleni, and Azudim. You get turned into Tekal automatically, and I presume that your Patron will infuse you with the essence to become one of the Supreme Races, depending on Their alignment.
Richter2004-12-07 17:06:25
Wierd.
But, I'm neither Ishuri or Calin, so, I wouldn't know.
I don't think either of them are still Tekal. I know Calin is working towards it again, but Ishuri is in torpor. So if he still is a Tekal, you'd think he would come back and ask Arion/Rahn to infuse him. :/
Likelihood is, they just haven't coded it yet.
Kaervas2004-12-07 17:45:41
They're both still Tekal, just not level 99 anymore. Also Taryn got Tekal recently apparently.
Ethelon2004-12-07 17:59:53
When you reach level 99 in Aetolia you become Tekal, Azudim, or Yelani based upon your current alignment when you do so. Both Ishuri and Calin were Neutral when they reached level 99 and became Tekal, if you have an evil alignment you would become Azudim and good aligned become Yelani.
Also, in Aetolia, most mobs you bash revert you to neutral in a short period of time. It would take an incredible amount of time to finish off your last percentage of the level just bashing a mob that increases your evil or good seeing as how there are not many about to gain from.
Not only was Marilynth raised with just the support of the Pool, Ladantine was apparently convinced that each nexus was capable of raising a Vernal God. The reason he pushed for the Pool over the others was simply that they were frozen in time when he was able to make his move.
This is precisely why the knowledge of how to do this would have been isolated immediately by the Empire, likely through any means necessary.
That's indeed why Gorob pioneered the process during the Vernal Wars, but those times were long gone when these events occured, evidenced by no one realizing they were actually breeching Kethuru's prison with Project Cosmic Hope. Perhaps I am just too cynical, but I can imagine many, many reasons why one of the protectorate cities would make a grab for power through this route if they could. If you doubt this, consider the absolute extreme to which both Hallifax and Gaudiguch went against eachother even as the battle against Kethuru was eclipsing their petty conflict for the rest of the Basin.
