I rather like parade, it has some interesting possibilities. Wish I knew how much the facepaintings did in terms of numbers; I didn't notice a difference really, when using lightning.
Is it just me, or does stagstomp use too much power for too little an effect? Anyone love that skill? I can't use it because I'm rouge.

Painting lightning will make your balance slower. Silly Rich.
Richter2004-12-07 18:48:20
You're kidding.
You know, what I think I did was last night, I switched the two, then got it in my head that's what it was... I was real tired, heh.

Aslaran in lightning stance + swiftstripes + 240 speed rapiers = unhealthy, very very unhealthy
Richter2004-12-09 18:32:00
As a bonecrusher, I can't use rapiers effectively. Hammers are fast, maybe they'll let us make master hammers that are Super speed like the rapiers?
Shiri2004-12-09 18:33:46
Wait, I just caught on. Lightning DECREASES balance recovery? What's going on there? Silly name...
Richter2004-12-09 18:36:23
Lightning is for eq, swiftstripes for bal. Both are fast *shrug*

Feels a little odd to me to have the masterworked version of a handheld sledge be reg'lar Swifty McGees, but ton-fas (or a properly renamed equivalent) would probably be great Bonecrusher speed weapons. What's a ton-fa? Think policeman's nightstick and you're just about there. Those things can fly in the hands of a good user.
But that's just my opinion, not being a Bonecrusher myself.

Mine are only 239 speed
249 with runes, though

I'd love to have tonfa, and maybe elbow blades, as weapons, just 'cause they're really cool. But then people would want nunchucks. And I'm not so sure that's quite such a good thing.
!!

Well, my logic was that your thought processes were at lightning speed (i.e., mental lightning rather than physical speed). Maybe not the best choice now that I paint my face with lightning jags and think it over, but I'm sure you'll get used to the name if you keep the image of a lightning quick mind when looking at that skill.
Shiri2004-12-09 19:23:10
Ah, so it's like, you're thinking too fast for your body to keep up? That makes more sense now. Hmm, I could do with some of those in my exams this January. Not like my handwriting could get any worse than it already is.
Richter2004-12-09 20:38:24
Yeah, but how come it makes my armour go down??
Unknown2004-12-09 20:41:56
You're not coordinated enough to roll with the punches properly. S'my guess.
Daganev2004-12-09 22:16:34
This is what I imagined the battlehammers look like. Not very sledge hammerish
though the idea of a tonfa would be cool for that elusive weapon based monk class everyone keeps talking about.

Yeah, I'd like that.

I'm having trouble getting that image, but... Originally the battlehammer was envisioned as being the damage-heavy weapon, like broadsword. But when I looked it up, they were actually pretty light. The massive ones were all two-handed. The one-handed ones were all lower weight than the standard flails and so forth, and Bonecrusher is one-handed bludgeon only. That's why the hammer became the light and swift weapon for the blunts. (And this is indeed reflected if you pay attention to its weight when probed.)
