You're partly right, Elryn, but there is further explanation. Firstly, yes, some of the Elder Gods did see the others splinter, however I wasn't one of them. I -didn't- know about mortal races when I came back to Lusternia, as you would know had you been in My Fulcrux upon My arrival. The reason I know a lot of the history between Me leaving and Me returning is that Lacostian took Me to the Akashic Records.

However, I didn't need that to see the Viscanti, see what had happened to them and feel contempt towards them.

Wow. It wasn't Marilynth who made the decision, really. It was the Star Council that did, and the High Priestess of the Light urged her to do it, because it WAS the only option. And, given the hierarchy in Old Celest, each of the three Star Council members giving Marilynth their go ahead represented the entirety of Celest's P.O.V. They make decisions for their guild, and their decisions stand as the guild's decisions. And, since just about EVERYONE in the city is a member of one of the guilds, it stands to believe that, even if not the entirety of Celest was in a guild, most of them were, and thus *at least* 51% of the people where behind the decision, and thus the majority. And I imagine EVERY Celestian there KNEW what had to be done. I mean, look at your options. Stand here, get slaughtered, raped, tainted (maybe), see Ladantine be made a Vernal God. Or die. I mean, seriously now, what do you believe this city of zealots would have done?

I don't pity the Tainted, really. Most of them seem to enjoy what they are. I pity the Glomdoring, as they were forced into Tainted, although how they treated that Ackleberry druid was vile and disgusting, although I don't think they had control of themselves during that time. My pity goes out to few of the Tainted. I, ICly, view them as simply another state of being; just don't get your taint on me, s'all.

I speak ICly here. I post by the name Rafael, and I damn well speak as if I were him. Why in the hell would you care what my real self thought about all this? My real self is not experiencing the turmoil of Lusternia, or all the actions spoken of here. I'm not reading it as if it were a book, I'm playing a part in the book.

Except that we have a forum for IC stuff. It's called the public boards in Lusternia.

You see, 95-99% of people here are going to post ooc, because that's what it is. We like to step back and have adult discussions on the game, and hopefully take some stress off of our, get this, entertainment. (funny to me that my entertainment causes me stress)

So, you may post IC here, but it may confuse some people. Just as after Haloween, we no longer dress up, from what I hear, you haven't taken off your costume, and it's Christmas.

I'll post publicly in Lusty if I want to have consequences applicable to me for whatever contents. I'll still speak as if I'm Rafael here, because seriously, why even pay attention to what the real me has to say, when I could act like Rafael, and you know what he'd say? :P

There's no merit to care on whether or not what my real self thinks, but as a leadership position in the Paladins, Minister of Trade, etc, all the other things I do you can damn well bet I have thoughts that might sway how things go.

These forums are OOC. Most of these people would never interact IC. I certainly wouldn't be saying 95% of the things i've posted if I thought people were going to take that information into the game. The forums are for discussing Lusternian matters in an OOC way, giving your (the real you, not your character's) opinions on matters, things like that. Channels like citytells are for discussing things in an IC way.

If the forums were at all IC... it'd be too hard to explain in the game, and just too damn complicated.

Princess Marilynth of Old Celest took up the Mantle of Duty and became a Vernal God
The Last Vernal God.

She did this, to call forth Avechna and reform The Nine Seals.

While doing this, Landantine approached Celest and was planning to become a Vernal God as well (Using the Horn of Urclach, I believe?) as part of the plan.

Princess Marilynth, unable to defeat Landantine herself as she was incredibly weak. (Just Ascended, and had already used a massive amount of power to summon Avechna), did the unthinkable. She did what she did to ensure Landantine could not survive. (Note, this is -after- she reformed the Nine Seals).

She plunged herself into The Pool of Stars, destroying it. In a cataclysmic explosion, the entire city was levelled.


So, yes. Celest did reform the Nine Seals. Their destruction happened because it was to stop the Taint. No one survived because Farella decided to let civilization die with them.

I don't know, if you want to say it that way, my OOC self would never have any real comprehension of what Rafael does IC anyways, and you'd leave my OOC self just damn confused when talking about Taint, rebel Gods, and the like. I don't take anything here IC, but I do speak as if it were Rafael's opinion. *g*

That's really not what the forums are for. The Gods want to see what we think or their work OOCly. If we were to act IC on these forums, how would you explain our discussing clients and triggers?

If I were to encounter Taint as my real life self, yes, it would confuse the hell out of me, too. But we're not encountering it, we're discussing a game where we know the background info, and it's not confusing.

No, that's completely wrong. Marilynth restored the Seals, and then used the last of her power to destroy Celest and stop her father. Celest had no involvement with the Seals other then contributing the nexus that raised Marilynth.

That's why there's a seperate topic for it. I'll admit it's not IC based in the part I call IC, but I -still- speak here as giving you what Rafael would tell you in the game. Why're so many fools arguing about this with me? :P

the seals? the seals were actually kind of a side note to the whole thing

The other section, means talk about the real world.

You're speaking as yourself, and you really need to learn to be respectful. I am not a fool, and if you think you can call someone you've never met a fool and they're not going to care, you're quite mistaken.

Seems to me it's Rafael's call what perspective he talks from here or anywhere. Obviously he isn't running around using forum conversations as canon in the game, so I don't see a problem. Being disrespectful is a whole other thing, but some people have it coming.
