Occultists are just the biggest drama queens you'll ever meet, and Lusternia is much better off without themÂ

I agree, the Occies were ur'uber drama queens, but, not all were. Lusternia could use a chaotic-type. Make things more interesting.

I said not *all*. plus, you gotta admit, when you asked them "what skill was that??" theyd freak not my fault they did... got too excited that they were asked to break a law of keeping secrets? Either way, asking them something got funky reactions but when they went on and on about why they can't tell you, is when you gotta put a stop to it. I met some actual...Semi-normal but fun Occies though.

'chaotic' doesn't mean full of random stupidity.Â

As for the subjuect of this thread... I vote for no darn alliances!
Now get back to work!
Erion2004-12-09 15:00:11
Work = evil. And, yes, Hallifax WAS around for the Taint. It was Hallifax's self-preservation attempts that caused the Gloriana to be so quickly tainted. They enacted aeromantic defenses, using POWERFUL gales of wind in an attempt to blow the dark, taint-caused, or taint-spreading, either way related to the Taint, back towards Magnagora. It simply slowed the cloud's progress towards Hallifax, and caused it to spread quickly into the Gloriana. Another reason for the Communes to blame Civilization. And, as far as I've seen from the Matrixers, the mass consensus is no alliances. True nuetrality. As a lucidian researcher would say, "It's only logical."

I'm still holding out that NO ONE will ally with ANYONE. A sort of perpetual free-for-all would be much much more interesting. (Not going to happen, but I can always dream.)

Eww, that'd be dead boring... alliances, intrigues and comradships are what makes a world interesting and emotional, no alliances means no political interaction except war or neutrality, that can't be the goal of Lusternia.

No, Yuniko, Roark's gonna "zap yo butt good" for using the word "uber".

Um.
Ubermenche. Read about it at Roark's fulcrux.
Shamarah2004-12-09 20:54:11
I seem to recall Roark complaining about the use of that word on another thread...
Richter2004-12-09 21:03:03
Dunno, but read that book, it's quite good. And it says uber a lot.
Though, admittedly, not in the l337 sense we were seeing before.

Shiri2004-12-09 22:51:34
Yeah, Roark doesn't like people using it except in the term "Ubermenche", and then only because calling it "Superman" would look silly. As he's mentioned numerous times before.
