Hartstone novices are called "Pebbles in the Circle". Not sure where the sapling comes from myself.
Kree2004-12-09 06:25:47
I musta missed the post when Eldrich was replaced. Man, he's the reason Kree left Hartstone for the Moondancers. He would ask for input on our guilds ideals and such and then turn around and totally ignore what everyone says. Oh well, happy where Kree is now, less interference and well I wont bash a guild adminstration that wasn't in power when Kree was there.

I don't know if this is because what I said or not, but we're changing the novice title. Earlier today, I had mentioned it, and everyone agreed it was dumb to have the novice title be the same as the gr1 name.
Anywho, I'm really fond of Dedicant (Name), of the Wilde. Dedicants are basically brand newbie Wiccans or Druids, it's the first rank of coven type things. Before Initiates.

Yeah I am going to have to agree with Estarra, where did the tree come from anyways? Isn't the guild channel for novices called Pebbles?

That's actually being changed, because of the Geomancers and their use of "Pebbles" It fits them better, we think, so we're not gonna fight for the use of it.
Estarra2004-12-09 20:18:09
I don't believe geomancers use pebbles but I could be mistaken. I know I was disappointed when they requested their novice channel be changed from "Grubs" (the original channel and one of my favorites) to pupils.
Unknown2004-12-09 21:16:03
Yeah, I think they made a clan for novices and such called 'Rolling Pebbles'. Could be wrong, though.
Qaletaqa2004-12-11 23:01:46
You mean like the Rolling Stones? There they go tainting another good name.
Unknown2004-12-11 23:06:16
It's a temporary name. I haven't been on recently, but I believe there was a mini-contest in which members could send messages with suggested titles.

Name them Grass Watchers.. because advancing would be just as fun as watching the grass grow.. or something..

How about fertalizer? They all end up dying for other more powerful people.

I think Auseklis has done a wonderful job of forcing people to abandon the forestal mindset of other games, especially when he said that nature does not need us to protect it. *highfive Auseklis*

Sometimes it would be nice if not everyone would assume that you know everything about the other IRE games. As Hartstone is my first forestal guild I never knew that Saplings was used in Achaea or wherever. Personally I like it a lot but I surely understand that we don't want a copy here. The novice channel name 'pebbles' always irritated me. After all we live in a forest and don't have much to do with rocks or stones....though 'pebbles of the circle' that makes much more sense. Anyway, the saplings will be gone soon, no worries.
I always wondered how Eldrich could write up so much in such a short time that sounded quite nice and well-thought. That he copied files from Achaea or Aetolia is pretty disappointing, it is also disappointing that noone felt the need to tell me....oh well, we will get this all settled.

Personally (though granted, I'm not actually a Hartstone member) I think it'd be great to see more of a focus on the 'White Hart' part of the guild, rather than the 'druid'. I could be wrong, and it may be just so inside the guild - in which case I take it back - but it'd certainly aid to creating an original image.

That would be wonderful to see! It'd be great if they got a skill to speak with the deer in the forest too, like Necromancers can speak with the undead (just to go off on a tangent).

Maybe novices could be called Fawns, or something.

Sadly, none of them live in the villages, and the ones in Serenwilde are considered second-class commune members so you can't influence them wearing Goldie's torc to sway their vote. Equal rights for deer, yo!

I'd have told you if I knew all the scrolls were from those games, I never played em, though.
Also, I've mentioned some White Hart things before, a certain Envoy said it was cliche to name things after and organization. Then again, he also said there's no reason to sell anything, but flowers and herbs in our guild shop.

Saplings? Grubs? Pebbles? Fawn? *chin* I like Grub, sounds squishy! Yeah it's been said before, but it is sad how the help files were coppied.. Maybe I'd have known about that sooner had I actually read then *cough* Anywho...
