Well, I'm in the process of looking into a few titles here. Thanks for the lists, I'm taking them for suggestions. (FMA definitely looks like one to look into.)

No one else goes for Neon Genesis Evangelion? (Shinseiki Evangelion)

Not heard of it? Not to your tastes? I know everyone has their own opinions, but I'm surprised no one else has listed it as a favorite.

I've heard of it, but never seen it. I was planning on putting it as a low priority after FMA and all the rest of it. (The fact my brother said it was cool was also a HUGE warning for me to stay away from it, as said brother has no clue what he's talking about with anything, ever. )

Now, to add something from myself.

From the animes not mentioned before, I have to add one thing: Noir. Enjoyed it, although it was funny watching it in German (no, I'm not from Germany).

I actually don't like Kakashi as much as everyone seems to, but yeah, he still rocks. I like Hyuuga Neji a fair bit though.

Also, I just saw the first episode of Bleach, and hey, that looks cool too. I have no idea what that retarded-looking psycho teddybear is about, but whatever

I guess it's okay if you haven't heard the Japanese previously though, but I mean...take FMA, Al sounds like an 8 year old girl in the English dubbing, in Japanese he actually sounds okay.

I'm not Cuber and the reason why I picked gundam over Escaflowne for best mech was because Escaflowne was split half with regular fightning and mech fightning. Gundam is a full mech rp Anime

No idea about English translations, but I've seen germanized Noir (as mentioned above) and Hellsing and the voices were quite character-fitting. Also, Hellsing has different, more 'hard-rock style' music on the... *braindead*... you know, the thingie that's before every episode.

In England, we call that an "Intro."

I've seen Evangelion. It didn't grab me.

I much much much prefer subbing, but to be realistic it's because almost everything I have watched has been subbed and it just feels wrong having non-Japanese voices there instead.

Update: Bleach = awesome. It's probably my new favourite anime already. Partially because of the awesome opening theme AND that thing with the psycho stuffed-lion thing.

Also, FMA needs to friggin' come out in England soon so I can buy the damn thing, because it is BEYOND annoying trying to download 8 GB of the stuff at 5KB a second, because Bittorrent doesn't suck enough already!

(And I'm on ADSL here. So that's going at like 1% of my connection speed.)
