Yes! Finally Bleach 78 is out after a long long wait! And the second Naruto movie which is pretty decent.

Don't let this topic die. I will write here my opinions of a few Anime I watched recently or not so recently once I remember their Japanese names.

I've seen a little one-episode OVA called "Mars of Destruction". If you stumble upon it, don't bother - it's utter crap.

Speed Grapher - not that bad, though I hoped it won't be "wee, superpowers out of nowhere" type.

Hajime no Ippo! Sniffle.. sniffle..
Shiri2006-05-04 02:58:05
Bleach 78...is that still filler? unsure.gif I'm downloading more Utawarerumono and Disgaea (it's very kiddy, don't bother with it Corb tongue.gif) now so I want to know if I can be bothered or not.

Anyone know much about Hyper Police btw?
Unknown2006-05-04 03:10:15
I heard the Bleach filler is actually pretty awesome, unlike the Naruto.
Shiri2006-05-04 03:17:21
It's not, I'm afraid. wacko.gif I guess it beats the Naruto filler...but that's not saying much.
Unknown2006-05-04 08:27:58
No that isn't saying much, Naruto has degenerated into a kiddy anime anyway during the filler, there's like no killings or blood anymore, kind of annoys me. And yes, Bleach is still in filler, bad filler, annoying filler, and still going to be filler for a while.

ugh, i watched akira once and was over anime. Although some of the chicks they draw are strangely attracticve.
Shiri2006-05-04 10:56:20
Akira isn't exactly a great example. unsure.gif Some people liked it but it bored me a lot.

Plus the soundtrack sucked!

EDIT: Tenq, any chance I can get like a synopsis of those ones you mentioned at the top of this page? Wikipedia and the other sites I normally use are being unhelpful. tongue.gif

Hmmm, i just use Anime News Network for knowing about them, that and reading the manga tongue.gif. Basically what you read there is the first episode and it explains it like that, but in a bit more detail, except for Gintama, where they totally screwed around the first episode. doh.gif

You didn't like Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence either, Shiri. That makes you an anime heathen... no, worse than that: heretic, apostate! Nobody expects the Japanese Fanboi Inquisition, armed with Sephiroth-brand katanas and double SMGs. Don't sleep... or do, it's too late for you anyway.
Shiri2006-05-04 11:21:45
I have a good excuse for not liking GITS! I never saw the series/first movie, remember? It didn't make sense. tongue.gif
ferlas2006-05-04 11:29:44
Hmm I would suggest something for you to watch murpy but what I watch may not appeal to you, someone suggested ghost in the shell I think try that?
Unknown2006-05-04 12:23:50
Anyone seen or heard of Inu Yasha? wub.gif

best anime ever.

ever, ever, ever...

ever, ever, ever..

ever... ever

*shiftyeyes* ever happy.gif
Shiri2006-05-04 13:05:36
It was my first one. Was pretty good when I was 14, anyway.
Unknown2006-05-04 14:57:35
I don't like Bleach filler series too much, but have to somewhat commend them for making a new storyline which makes some sense. It's nothing compared to what's goin on in the manga though!

P.S. Akira rocks. tongue.gif

The new series I'm currently watching are Utawarerumono (which translates to The One Being Sung, I believe) and Noein, and they're both really good/interesting. Utawarerumono is a fantasy anime based on a japanese tactical RPG. I am told the story gets incresaingly more interesting and awesome as things escalate by people who have read the manga and played the game. Noein is... VERY odd. It's an anime about time travel and alternate realities. You know the whole, "I am you. Fifteen years from now. From another dimension" stuff. The animation style is really weird too - I can't tell if I like it or hate it.

Utawarerumono episode 5 airs today, Shiri, and you can get 3 and 4 from Yesy Fansubs since Static seems to be having internal issues again, and probably won't update for a while sad.gif Noein finished airing a month ago, but Shinsen Subs (the only group really working on it) is only up to episode 20 of 24.

I'm also downloading Eureka seveN, but I'm not sure if it's any good. It looks interesting, and it's by Bones, an anime studio I'm rather fond of (they did Wolf's Rain and RahXephon), but the torrents are taking forever to download sad.gif It's 50 episodes long and finished airing a month ago, but Nanashi (the only group really doing it) is only up to 36.

Bittorrent links:
Utawarerumono: www.static-subs.com for Static, http://www.yesy-fansubs.com/site/ for Yesy.
Noein: http://shinsen.b33r.net/ for Shinsen (that's the torrent page, I forget their main site).
Eureka seveN: http://bt.nanashi-fansubs.com:2710/index.html?sort=1 for Nanashi (that's the torrent page again, as I also forget their main site).

I would think Murphy would like Elfen Lied. Bittorrent tracker for anime.fin: http://tracker.anime-fin.net:6969/index.html?page=1

Oh, and you're right, he'd probably like Ghost in the Shell too. http://kaa.animeconnection.net/torrentpage/ for Kickass Anime's bittorrent tracker. I'd say start with Ghost in the Shell, Stand Alone Complex, the tv series, which I liked much better than the movies.

EDIT: That last link can be hard to find things in, here's a direct link to the file I meant: http://kaa.animeconnection.net/torrentpage/torrents/%5bKAA]_Ghost_in_the_Shell_SAC_01-26.DVD(AC3_5.1)(Complete).torrent - this forum doesn't like that link, since it has a ] in it, so copy it and paste it in, rather than clicking on it.

Well I was bored and after watching a CCS AMV I decided to actually have a look at the original story.

Damn it would have been cool to see the original Card Captor relationships
Sakura likes Yukito
Syaoran thinks he likes Yukito
Toya hints a liking Yukito
Clow likes Yukito
Yukito likes Toya
The second teacher gets married to a student
Sakura eventually likes Syaoran

hehe sorry, I was kinda entertained by all this stuff they just hacked out, it would have been far more interesting to me with all of it left in. *sniffle* Anyway, I haven't seen many new Anime in a while, time to break my d/l limit I think and possibly my hard drive WHEE fun!

The pause in releasing FMA manga is over! Two new episodes in the webpage I linked to 2 pages ago! This thing is too good to drool. It'd be a sacrilege.
