I kind of enjoyed Nadesico up to about episode 18 or something (where I got bored and gave up) but like...even the writing felt dated somehow. I don't know what was up with that.

You guys should check out Soul Eater as far as Spring season goes too.

The guy who did TTGL's music does this one's too, and the animation's superb. Also, the VA for Lelouch does one of the main character's voices.

Got high hopes for this one.

I miss watching that show at night... the mood fits so perfectly I always felt that there should've been a sequel after how the series ended

My wife just got "Ah! My Goddess" for her birthday, and we both love the series. That poor kid gets into all kinds of situations, but at least he has an understanding girlfriend. Definitely created by male type people, though.

We bought "Neon Genesis Evangelion" (the complete series) recently, but we haven't started watching them yet. I still want to collect all the "Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid" discs, another great series, in all its forms.

Since Zarquan's avatar just reminded me...what do you people think of this Dreamworks GITS movie? Adaptations have a pretty poor track record, but GITS could almost be a live action if it weren't for the Tachikoma.

Top ten anime...hmm...I'm just gonna post my top two, because anyone who found out the others would think I was a total sissy.

Inuyasha

Inuyasha was my number one favorite for YEARS, but then I discovered Deathnote. That anime is so awesome. I want Ongaku to be like Light!!

EDIT: Dreamworks is planning a GITS movie?? Omg, that'd be awesome! I forgot, that's another of my favorite anime.

Thumbs up I guess, it's Spielberg. I hope Tachikomas appear, they're funny. Imdb says 2011 though, I might as well not be alive in such a distant future.

And wow, The Talisman is supposed to be out this year, also Spielberg's doing it seems. TV movies always seem to come out of nowhere...

Well, anime adaptations don't have a great history of people not screwing them up, so people seem to be skeptical that it's going to harm the franchise more than help it. I think it's good for a worthy series like GITS to get attention though (particularly if it's SAC rather than the movies.)

And yes the tachikoma are adorable.

To be fair, Inuyasha, Naruto are their ilk aren't terrible if you've never experienced anything better. I got into anime starting with Inuyasha. I couldn't stand it now I'm several years older and have seen a tonne of things from GITS to Paranoia Agent, but it was a good stepping stone.

EDIT: And you don't inform someone to gtfo. You order, request or demand that they gtfo. So you better make sure he takes your fail as well.

Yeah, I never, ever liked Inuyasha. I was sort of into Naruto for a while, until I found out that the manga was alot better.
