Parallel works 1 is still my favourite of the 6, 2nd would be #6 and 3rd would be the one where Simon/Kamina were the badguys and Viral was the good guy.

I've picked up Sekirei and Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu for Summer though, but it's pretty sparse.

Btw, Code Geass S2 just keeps getting better and better.

I would revoke your otaku privileges for 24 hours, but I'm feeling merciful since you could say "S" stands for "Season."

My personal favorite Parallel Works video would be number 4 - Cowboy Viral! Swordbearer Simon was what really made me go back and watch it again though because he's so submissively cute!

As for this season, Xam'd looks really interesting. The style sort of reminds me of Miyazaki, and the concept is pretty intriguing. I'm surprised it's only being distributed through the PS3 currently, but I guess the PS3 is a lot more popular in Japan.

I did mean Season 2 tongue.gif Calling it R2 just sounds weird to me.

Deciding between Clannad and Haruhi Suzumiya is hard.

Somewhere inbetween that.

Kanon 2006, Air and Lucky Star are great too, for me anyways.

Im such a wuss, heh.

Absolutely detest Dragonball, the idea itself is spawned from hell.

A Studio Kyoto fan, I take it? You missed only Fullmetal Panic! from what they've released.

First season of Geass is finally airing on AS, which is nice. I guess they are using all the same american voice acting from Eureka7 which has its ups and downs.

My favorite anime is probably still Paranoia Agent. Unbelievable really.

How is Eureka 7 in general? I tried the first episode but it didn't really grab me, wasn't enough to totally dismiss it though.

The first half was pretty blah, with some decent "robut ackshun" occasionally. The last half is like, cocaine-insane acid dreams and far more interesting than the first developmental period.

alright, i am running out of anime to watch...I have a list of things I have watched recently, someone give me some recommendations...nothing common.

I have watched these...

-Planetes
-Great Teacher Onizuka
-Steel Angel Harumi
-Petapeta-san (that one was weird)
(plus all your good ol' common ones like death note, bleach, and Code Geass)

help me...Get me new anime, and feed my geekiness.

Also, i highl recommend Planetes and GTO, amazing anime

Am I the only girl in the whole wide world that actually doesn't like anime?
Moiraine2008-08-18 08:53:06
Nope.
Shiri2008-08-18 08:55:08
Nope, it's a pretty common affliction, especially among people who haven't seen any (or any of the stuff not aimed at 12-15yo boys.)

Doman, there's already a topic for this actually. Glad you liked Planetes, not nearly enough people have seen that.
Rika2008-08-18 09:02:03
I haven't had the opportunity to see enough anime. sad.gif

I blame living in New Zealand, where the television sucks and the internet sucks more.
Doman2008-08-18 09:02:38
well, it wasn't really a question of my favorite. I was looking for recommendations for new ones to watch

Paranoia Agent.

Good anime, but anything that's been shown on CN that isn't complete crap (I'm looking at you, Shin-chan) I've seen every ep that's out.

Elyse2008-08-19 04:58:29
1-Full Metal Alchemist

6-Claymore
4-Affro Samurai
5-Samurai Jack
3-Avatar
7-Cowboy Bepbop

To lazy after I qued them out to put them in ordr... I watch anime when I can, something that is good and not 10bajillion episodes long (at 70 episode and the story should end, there is only so long you can hack people up or save the world before it gets repeditive *coughdragonballzcough*). Any suggestions?? Thanks!

I'm incredibly partial to Haruhi Suzumiya. I need someone to show me something as deep and fun as that

((Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei comes close, though))

EDIT: So does Cowboy Champloo
Shiri2008-08-19 06:02:34
There is very little that's as fun as Haruhi Suzumiya sadly, at least not in the same way. You could try Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann though.
