Favourite anime!

Yeah, I thought I'm watching fairly ridiculous mecha anime and then stopped.
Coincidentally, I'm watching Outlaw Star right now and it's sooo similiar.

It's weird, but I think Ergo Proxy and Wolf's Rain are paired in people's favourites often. As in, if there's one of them, there's often the other one too.

That's not weird at all.

And I think I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but Sojiro had to force me through the first few episodes of TTGL. It really does pick up. And it really is saying something, though it's not exactly complicated enough to miss (like Kara no Kyoukai presumably...)

So maybe I should try Wolf's Rain again, back then I dropped it cause it seemed stupid, wolves turning into men just like that. I love Ergo Proxy though...

They weren't actually turning into men, heh.

Yeah, they were just illusions. ...which is pretty weird all on its own, but you gotta take what you're given I guess.

Well, they were psychic or whatever and told humans they were seeing and hearing something different than what they were.
Shiri2009-08-11 16:39:53
Well, it was a few years ago when I watched it, but maybe there were like, a couple scenes where they used their hands to move objects or something...maybe they were actually really careful about that and I'm just imagining it though.

So here's an odd one for you that I watched (all 12 ep of) yesterday: Kaiba

Quite trippy, the animation's far more light-hearted than the subject matter, and the music is far too catchy.

If Guilty Gear counts (hey, it's anime themed!), I put that down as the undisputed king. Or queen.

Here's one I think you all might appreciate. Thus far I rather like it. Anime about various middleschool/highschool "love" and such things of that nature. So far pretty lighthearted, but it seems to display more in line with how real trains of thought go. At least a lot of the time. Anyways, it's called "Hatsukoi Limited" Also a funny one is "Perfect Girl Evolution" Check 'em out. thumup.gif

Alright, so I love animes... alot. So much in fact, that I bought a 1TB external hard drive to hold all the anime that I download... suspicious.gif

My first ever anime that I watched: Vampire Hunter D content.gif

Ninja Scroll, Basilisk, Blade of the Immortal sword.gif , Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, Utena (only actual black girl that I've seen in anime... unless you count Urd from Oh! My Goddess, and Pirotess from Record of Lodoss War), Guin Saga is pretty good. Abenobashi Magical Shopping Arcade is pretty funny, The Wallflower, Asura Cryin', Clannad, Azumanga Daioh, Elfen Lied, Fruit Baskets, Paradise Kiss, Speed Grapher, Sekirei, Shadowskill, Toaru Majitsu no Index...

Those are all just off the top of my head...

I didn't wait after all and started watching Bakemonogatari. It's awesome, I just love it.
@Shiri, thanks for the recommendation. I don't know why your recommendations are right on while I can never figure out what you'd like, lol.

Watch Haruhi season 2 episodes 2-9.

I just finished Black Lagoon and I really liked it.

*slay*

10 is kind of disappointing too, though not godawful. But now we know they're just going to air the cultural festival episodes from S1...it feels pointless. And apparently there's a huge chronological gap between now and Disappearance in the novels so who knows if we'll even get there?!

(And where is this week's bakemonogatari?! It better not have had its slot eaten by baseball or some crap.)

August 21st, supposedly.

Shakugan no Shana was fairly good. Nothing really worth mentioning about it, but it was some fun. Very similar to Zero no Tsukaima.
