Inuyasha is one of the best ones by far I think.

Here, There, Now and Then.

Spirited Away, and Princess Mononoke

Battletech! (you can never argue with a classic, its all about the protoculture:P)

Voltron (havent seen it, but Im sure its Anime from what I can remember, damn power rangers for stealing a good idea and raping it)

If you can handle subs, or if your one of the very few, like me who have taken the time to actually learn Japanese, watch the un edited versions. Dialog is MUCH better.

I do however dread the day I have to wait a week for the next episode, but until then, it's a half dozen a day.

I need to wait for every 2 new episodes of Initial D 4th stage for 2 months. grrr.gif
Shiri2005-01-25 18:42:54
And BLARGHAGE, it turns out that the "Episodes 1-26" episodes of Read Or Die, contained in 4 gigs, WAS in fact just 4 episodes, 1 gig each, I checked the file sizes angry.gif. Whichever berk put the wrong label on it had better not step in my demesne. >_<

Ah well, onto Rah Xephon I guess. Even my new client can't find a decent FMA torrent. >_<

Rurouni Kenshin was alright, used to watch some Yuyu Hakusho with my younger brother.

Not huge on anime, but it's alright.

Ooo, I DID greatly enjoy Spirited Away.
Shoshana2005-01-26 02:41:01
*grin* Spirited Away is Studio Ghibli, so you'd have to be really strange not to like it... All of Miyazaki's stuff is excellent, although my favourite is My Neighbour Totoro.
Shiri2005-01-26 16:38:32
I really don't get why people like Spirited Away. Maybe it was just because I saw it in unsubbed Japanese and don't speak it, but the whole part of it I understood LOOKED really annoying. 0_o'
Raan2005-01-26 17:10:40
It was a rendition of "through the looking glass", and very well done.
Rodust2005-01-29 09:08:33
I have a couple that I enjoy a lot. My all time favorite would have to be Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. I guess I will have to say Ninja Scroll for a close second.
Unknown2005-01-30 04:15:52
I love every all anime movies, and the ones I haven't seen I will love them. The animation, music, and stories are the best, even when they're so out there and wring your brain. I usually end up sad and immersed in thoughts about life and the universe though sad.gif

Witch Hunter Robin is now getting intensely interesting and awsome, if you're keeping up on the Canadian tv programming. And ARGH I MISSED INUYASHA LAST WEEK! GOT CAUGHT UP WITH STUFF HERE GRR I HATE YOU LADANTINE!!!
Daganev2005-01-30 04:29:06
Ninja Scroll was the first Anime I saw, it got me hooked.

Boy do they know how to give out curses!

My favorite part of Spirited Away, was the begining where they essentially made fun of Eurodisney.

And GITS I think will be the best anime until they come up with answers to those questions. Unasnwered questions about the future are great, it allows anyone from any political leaning to enjoy it. Oh and the way they mock currect world politics is great also.

Read the Naruto manga, it's available somewhere in the web. (forgot the adress) sleep.gif
Much interesting than the anime.

Shoshana2005-01-30 12:13:42
Meh, you know that when you watch the next episode everything will be exactly how it was before the episode you missed anyway *duck*.

Shiri2005-01-30 12:17:43
Yeah, InuYasha's like that...thankfully few of those episodes in things like Naruto (Kakashi's mask! ARGH! LAME EPISODE!), they make up for it with a 20 minute recap followed by a 5 minute episode tongue.gif
Unknown2005-01-30 14:00:19
ohmy.gif Don't be hating on InuYasha! Haha well it's true anyway...episodes 60-80ish are fillers, after that the story becomes delicious and juicy and tender again. Yeah and did anyone else think the Tsubaki thing was -waaay- to long, and she kept repeating that saame flashback and anooying scream too many times?
Shiri2005-01-30 14:05:45
YES (you mean the doctor, Tsubame, right? Or Tsunade. Damn I get their names mixed up so bad.)

Not to mention Lee and his "I can be a good ninja even though I can't use ninja things!...yeah!"

Damn, though, I can't get episodes 80+ (I stopped at like 80, DOH) without starting again from the whole...um...31 gigabyte series file...no friggin' way, people tongue.gif

Fran could play linebacker for the raiders!

Neon Genesis Evangelion is pretty good.. but shines in a few moments. The early episodes, the 'toothpick' incident, and later on, well, more in the movie, tearing unit.. 08, wasnt it? Apart while holding it up. The rest of it was alright, but a bit repetitive.. "Yeah. We know your crazy, blah. Get back in the eva." you'll find yourself thinking. Although watching a certain person goto town on the third child is always amusing..

Movie wise, go watch Akira. Damn, that rocks. Oh, and Love Hina. Just.. tie yourself to the chair so you dont fall out, and make sure you dont eat/drink anything. *snicker*
Shiri2005-01-30 14:38:31
Think I'm skipping Love Hina out tongue.gif

Ew, though, Akira? That was just people yelling, "TETSUO!" "KANEDA!" and shooting occasional energy blasts at each other for like an hour and a half, with the odd intermittent psychosis-enduced teddybear, followed by the guy mutating into this huge fat baby thing and everything being exploded and wtf was that all about? Nooo...tongue.gif

Didnt you know? People becoming giant mutant babies, stuffed with circuitry, and little midget people with psychic powers are an artform. Still bloody good, methinks. Of course, I dont believe I've ever watched it when I wasnt dead tired, so that could be influencing me. But I doubt it. I hope. Mebbe. I'll never forget the giant teddy that bled milk.
