Ummm... What's the difference between this mad.gif (angry), and this angry.gif (angry2)?

I think this first one might be a tiny bit more faded, but I'm not sure.

...Or maybe I just need glasses.
Karielle2004-12-11 07:54:15
Looks the same to me. mellow.gif

Edit: Okay, after staring at it for some time, I conclude that the second one seems to be more.. shadowed. Hmm.
Faethan2004-12-11 07:57:43
Yeah, angry2 looks a wee bit darker, especially the border of the smiley.
Unknown2004-12-11 08:01:03
What's the point of having one a wee bit darker?

Haha! My angry smilie is darker than yours!
Shoshana2004-12-11 08:01:21
Yeah, the lower-right bit of the second one looks darker to me, almost reddish *squints at the computer*

Hmm.. maybe it's supposed to look more.. menacing? unsure.gif
Unknown2004-12-11 08:50:11
Yeah, it looks a lot more menacing.
Daganev2004-12-11 09:00:12
the point of having two normally is because the designers of said smilies couldn't decide which one to pick.

I just coincedently wrote a post in which I used an angry smiley, before reading this thread mind you, and picked angry2 because it seemed more powerfull, and was wondering to myself why angry existed, but since angry was obviously made before angry2 they probabbly didn't want to just delete it.
Unknown2004-12-11 09:06:42
They should delete the first one.
Daganev2004-12-11 09:07:42
but then you only have angry2 and you'll confuse everyone.
Unknown2004-12-11 09:12:37
Change angry2 to angry, or just let it be and confuse everyone.
Unknown2004-12-11 12:11:30
Madness!

Makes you wonder about how much significance a tiny little bit of shading can have.
Unknown2004-12-11 16:59:08
I say the first ones faded version of number two. (cause Im special and must be different so therefore wont say shaded) Theyre exactly the same otherwise (I actually copied and checked them.. *puts on nerdy loser sign*)
oraya2004-12-15 06:25:38
*blink* *squint* ....oookay then, so the shading is off...and that somehow makes a difference? *scratch* oh well, I'll stick with this one thanks much happy.gif
Unknown2004-12-15 06:50:47
angry2 is obviously more pissed off than angry1
Unknown2004-12-15 08:08:33
Maybe angry2 is pissed of AT angry.

And now...Does < _< (minus the space) seem to be glaring harder than "glare"?

How bout -_ - (minus the space) and "closedeyes". Is one of em more tired/snooty than the other?

It would be easier to answer those questions if the actual smilies were posted too:

< _< = dry.gif
"glare" = glare.gif

-_ - = sleep.gif
"closedeyes" = closedeyes.gif

Heh, they are almost alike. One's always slightly "hazier" and redder around the edges, like with the angry (mad.gif and angry.gif) smilies.
Unknown2004-12-15 11:18:21
After a thorough test of the mood of both smilies, I have come to the conclusion that the second one is obviously Tainted.
Shoshana2004-12-15 12:38:25
That must be it! laughing1.gif Quick, all celest citizens stop using them before it spreads! fear.gif

I'm fine as long as it doesn't infect the Spirit emoticons. happy.gif
