The start of the month changes daily, because of the way the calendar is set up in game.

"It is now random which day of the week a village will go into play (rather than at the start of a new month)."

So.....whats the point of this new influence change?

Realism. When the Russians staged the coup that ended the Cold War, did they delay their revolt for a few weeks because it wasn't the first of the month so that the Soviets would be ready?

Hmmm. Yeah, actually. All the revolutionaries were rabid Anglophiles, pining for the imagined gentlemanly glory of the imperial era, where Colonel Whittingham would invite the hottentots round to tea on Thursdays, and they'd exchange secret battleplans. Ah, those were the days, when men were men and bloodthirsty savages were bloodthirsty savages. Everybody knew their place, and absolutely no one let the scones go stale.

Oh, wait. The you said the coup that ended the Cold War, didn't you? Right. Those revolutionaries were a bunch of incosiderate, loutish zealots. Never mind.

(But I'm sure they're the exception that proves the rule.)

You are an odd fellow's odd fellow, Exarius.

Wait, is that normal, or just doubly weird?
