Okay, so I think many people agree that Lusternia is cooler than Achaea! Now we need to get cool banner ads like the new cartoon one I saw on topmudsites.com
Sylphas2004-12-13 19:00:18
Those are awesome. We definitely need one.
Auseklis2004-12-13 19:36:52
I was thinking more of a pan-up from a sunrise, across a sparkling sea to grasslands showing tiny beings running from village to village, to a huge mountain-peak, where the title Lusternia:Age of Ascension will appear in shimmering gold, all painted in watercolours by an expert artist.
Go on Estarra, you know you can afford it

Now THAT would be kewl.
Unknown2004-12-13 20:38:56
Make Isune draw it!
Raezon2004-12-13 22:49:01
Yeah, honestly I was highly considering a 3-dimensional image that uses existing adaptive technology and thus the image leaps from the screen, embeds itself into their brain, and they can't see anything else until they start playing and get out of the Portal.
Shiri2004-12-14 00:50:04
I'm sure Roark can have one thrown together within a few weeks, Raezon.
Also, I LOVE Aetolias 8 bit theatre one. *puppydog eyes* Someone commission Brian Clevinger to do one or something?

Yeah, but we need one with better quality control. Aetolia has a misspelling--duely should be duly (unless that is one of those British spellings)
Unknown2004-12-14 11:37:34
In fact, I first saw the advert to Aetolia on Nuklearpower.com.
Um...I think. About 2 years ago.

No, it's not a British spelling, it's duly here too
And yeah, I first saw Achaea on Nuklearpower...
Shiri2004-12-14 17:38:39
Bahaha...is Imperian's 8 bit one new too? I just saw it when I went to vote, I'd never noticed it before.
Lisaera2004-12-14 19:23:37
There are nothing other than British spellings, everything else is what is commonly known as "wrong". Unless you are a Linguistics student, in which case it is an example of "non-standard lexis".
That was the weirdest subject I have ever studied... being a student was fun though.

*memorises for later quoting* Yes, finally got someone Up There to agree with me
Hiriako2004-12-15 15:18:35
Mmm, Linguistics is fun. I just wish my keyboard could handle some of the alphabets.
I always wanted some God trained in linguistics here in these realms to start creating a language and insert it into the game a bit, so I can decipher it and start speaking it to others.

In my country, they teach us british as "standard english" but they send us to Ireland to practice, as pure british accent is a pain to understand (not to say, there're so many people studiying english there that you go for an english course of three months and it improves your italian, french, spanish and sweedish)

If you know how much trouble it was to correct all the American spellings we could find...

Ouch, that must be painful. I TYPO every one I find shamelessly though.
EDIT: Where are my manners? I should point out how eternally grateful I am for said Englishisation. (Pretend that's a word.)
Richter2004-12-15 21:39:29
Someone give me links to these things? What's this about Aetolia theatre? *confused*
Unknown2004-12-15 21:43:24
www.topmudsites.com
The banner at the top changes whenever you refresh.
EDIT: I'm also glad you're...uh...Englishifying all of Lusternia. Now I can say the word "valour" without being mocked! (Although that would be more useful if I was a paladin here)

I am grateful too, I am sorry and don't want to sound rude, but I don't like american english. It's like... trying to shorten everything so it's less effort to write. Colour to color, valour to valor... Lazy.
