This might have been suggested already, who knows? I haven't read the rest of this thread, but we need a 'stickpoke' emote, for poking prone people with a stick.

Yes, but do you randomly have sticks laying around? You'd need something like COBBLEBASH.

Environment restricted emotes would be awesome though, in general.

Hmm, I can't find the Dwarf emote. Anyway, here's an idea that occured to me for another Dwarf emote:

EMPTYDRINK

First person untargeted: You groggily look for a drink, but gasp in amazement as none appears.
Third person untargeted: *** groggily looks around, then gasps in amazement for no apparent reason.
First person targeted: With a mighty gulp, you toss the entire content of *** down your throat.
Third person targeted: With a mighty gulp, *** tosses the entire content of *** down his/her throat.

Of course, this would usually result in death by alcoholic poisoning. It's also a good way to empty vials.

Or if you did that with a vial of crotamine and died from the 60 simultaneous afflictions.

New emote/pose for faeling: HOVER

TAINT

You tap your foot on the ground and exhale deeply.
Verithrax taps his foot on the ground and exhales some black fumes from his nostrils.
Glaring at you, Verithrax blows a cloud of Tainted fumes on your face.

Tilt/tilthead

1st -- You absently cock your head to one side.
3rd -- An expression of curiousity on his face, Needle tilts his head.

1st -- You cock your head and stare at Haystack.
2nd -- Needle tilts his head and stares at you curiously.
3rd -- With a curious expression Needle tilts his head and stares at Haystack.

That exists, it's called CURIOUS.

And yeah, Ash, just because it can be used untargeted doesn't mean it can't be targettable as well.

slitthroat (or maybe slit)

1st: Cleanching your teeth, you draw a line across your throat with your index finger.
3rd: With cleanched teeth, draws a line across his/her throat with his/her index finger.

1st: Glaring at X, you cleanch your teeth and draw a line across your throat with your index finger.
2nd: With a glare at you and cleanched teeth, draws a line across his/her throat with his/her index finger.
3rd: With cleanched teeth and a glare at , draws a line across his/her throat.

strangle

1st: With cleanched teeth you strangle thin air.
3rd: strangles nothing.

*Could perhaps cause some kind of damage or otherwise, based on strength.
1st: You strangle .
2nd: strangles you!
3rd: strangles !

Look, no offence, but there is only one feasible answer to emotes that do damage.

NO.

If you want to do damage, you use an attack. End of story. Even if it's neglible, on principle, no no and no. Just spamming that could win a battle in the end, as you can do emotes nomatter what, except when asleep or meditating, and balanceand eq don't effect them.

True... The damage part could be removed.

Okay, so here's the deal. As much as I'd love to go through the previous 18 pages in their entirety, I'd like one of you to post an abridged version that highlights some of the better suggestions that haven't been implemented. Seeing as I tend to add random emotes when I manage to feel inspired, I'd like to start seeing more ideas from you guys, too. You know you want to.

And if you're wondering just which of the more recent emotes you have to blame me for, I'll leave that up to your imaginations!

STICKPOKE (posable) (targettable)

Pose untargetted - stands here holding a stick, peering about themselves.

1st person untargetted - You grab a stray stick off the ground and look around for someone to poke.

3rd person untargetted - picks up a stick off the ground and looks about himself, searching for a victim.

Pose targetted - stands here, poking repeatedly with a stick.

1st person targetted - You pick up a loose stick from off the ground and begin to curiously poke repeatedly in the stomach.

2nd person - picks up a loose stick off the ground and walks over to you, then begins to poke you repeatedly in the stomach.

2nd person (sleeping) - You groggily awaken and look up to see standing above you, repeatedly poking you in the stomach with a stick. You shrug it off and go back to sleep.

3rd person targetted - picks up a loose stick from the ground and begins to repeatedly poke in the stomach with it.

3'rd person targetted (sleeping) - grabs a loose stick off the ground and walking over to the sleeping , begins to poke them in the stomach, repeatedly. wakes up groggily, peers at unscrupulously, then rolls over and goes back to sleep.
