hey,
we all say that Lusternia rocks. Why don't we post those silly little things (or not so little) that impress or please us?
For once, I love that the quest mobs greet you by your race (like 'hello, my merian friend'). In other IRE games, they used to greet you by your name (like 'hello, Medheriadh'), and I used to say 'hey, how the heck does this man know my name, if I haven't even introduced myself!'. It is a silly detail, but I love it.
Also, this is the only IRE game I know where village denizens are worth more live than dead. I am talking about dwarf miners, trained rockeaters, etc. They actually help produce comms, which is what keeps the economy going. Whenever people in Achaea went on killing sprees and killed all the smallfolk in Thera I would say 'what a sad game, that can't distinguish between killing orc raiders and civilized villagers'. Lusternia has made a big revolution in that sense.

I like the player-reliant economy.

I love the fact they broke up the herb monopoly from other games. But as for detail... Faeleaf. The miracle herb! Blind, death, and thirdeye! And that most people can use something like a shield tattoo. Without that pesky tattoo! damn it, and it's fading.

The Planes. 'nuff said.
Although it's not really little.

I love the org-related dreams, and I also love that they split concoctions
Niara2004-12-22 15:06:06
I fidn the dreams rather depressing...I am not even sure if Niara ever had a really pleasent dream...anyway, what I love is that the ur'guard guards think that all non-Magnagorans are pretty or at least have pretty faces. After all they mention that they don't want break my pretty face.

I like that food and drink and potions have a smell and a taste. I'd like it even more if flowers and herbs had a smell, and herbs a taste.
Edit: Oh, and I forgot to add, when you try to do "snort" as an emote, it comes back with "What do you wish to snort?"
Well I dunno! What do you have that I can snort??

Spores. Ask your local Moondancer for details.
Unknown2004-12-22 18:13:09
you could snort shrooms or was it spores..
but yeah, i miss the 'you snort arrogantly.'

I like how they made the demesne appearance text in different ANSI colors. Seeing taint in a deep, dark red color just looks cool.

Faeleaf kills you?
Shiri2004-12-22 20:14:42
Hahah, I spotted that, but I didn't want to say. I used to hate faeleaf, stupid cockatrices kept biting me and leaving me worse off than I was before. Grumble. But now I'm a healer Moondancer, it's all good!
EDIT: Whoops, I said faeling instead of faeleaf. That always happens to me at annoyingly ironic times.

I like how each denizen has their own unique attacks, rather than the generic "Bob batters you with an overhead blow." or "Orc hacks into you with a sword"

Planar travel.

-The Master specialisation thingo.
-Hummingbirds for each element in Celest.
-Useful skills like waterwalking, deathsight and shield very low down. I haven't seen anyone drown yet!
-The variety of races. It's a pity more people don't play something other than Merian, Faeling or Viscanti, though.
-Lots and lots of new denizen types (*cuddle spider*)
-All new afflictions and cures, yay! More things to stuff into my brain.
-Ummm.. Oh. Big cuddly Tae'dae.

I like that you don't have to complete insane requirements to advance in your guild - at least in the ones I know.

You'be obviously never been a Nihilist, Cuber
I love the messages given when one is using their bat wings.
You stretch out your leathery, bat-like wings to their full length and hurl
yourself into the skies above.
Leathery wings stretched behind you like a billowing black cape, you dive
downwards and land in a crouch.
So majestic, and yet... so wicked awesome - Strong Bad
