Currently, Human is a pretty crappy race. Poor stats, no advantages... I mean, sure, they don't have a real weakness, but instead are in general weak against everything. The only point of them is to help you level up fast so you can then reincarnate.
Humans should get something nifty that would make people want to play them more permenantly, or at least something interesting. They came out of that Void with Estarra, there has to have been something nifty in there.
Perhaps a special ability upon reaching level 50 that allows you to give +3 to a stat of your choice, that could be changed once per Lusternian Month? 'Specialize Strength', for example, to get +3 str for that month.
And maybe another one that allows you to pick one resistance, but you also have to pick a weakness? Example- 'Resist fire cold', to gain level 1 fire resist and level 1 cold weakness. Once again, it would work once per month.
Any other ideas? Comments?

Those wouldn't really make sense, but they'd be cool. I still think the experience gain is pretty neat, though, considering how much people die on this. (I'm reincarnating into a Furrikin for family/RP reasons, but being human's been fairly good to me up until now.)

I think there aren't meant to be that many Humans, since they're not native. If the human race was a really amazing race to be, there'd be humans everywhere.

Help Human
I took that to mean that there are quite a few of them, from an IC standpoint. Anyway, i'm not saying they should be great, just that they should be something more than what they are now.
I think the skills would make sense, with how Humans are always shown as being so highly adaptable and able to learn.

No, it just means they can breed like rabits with anything that can move

Humans are made as they should be. The experience bonus is proof of their ability to adapt, and there lack of advantages correspnds to their lack of disadvantages. Tae'dae for example are massively strong, and they pay for this advantage by being very slow. If you were to give them this specialize *stat*, you've have to add with it, a disadvantage of some sort, or their balance wouldn't be kept.
Unknown2004-12-20 02:01:26
Humans have the exp bonus and thats all they need.
Unknown2004-12-20 02:14:05
So you're saying that a Human with the stats
Strength : 15 Dexterity : 12 Constitution : 12
Intelligence : 12 Size : 12 Charisma : 12
Level 1 Resistance to Cutting
Level 1 Weakness to Blunt
is better than a Tae'dae? Than a Brood Viscanti? Than an Igasho? I don't think so.

Humans in Imperian can get a permanent +1 to a stat at level 50.
Unknown2004-12-20 04:46:34
This isn't Imperian. Humans have no real special abilities minus the exp bonus because they were brought here by Estarra they aren't like the other races who have lived on Lusternia for thousands of years and have their own specializations and abilities

I am a Human and I sure as hell know Narsrim is a Human. Narsrim that I know of has never lost a single arena battle. It only takes finesse really and the experience gain is a lot better than most races - 1 level experience gain.
Sure I do bad damage but I love roleplaying a human. Honestly a slight french accent and the cooking tradeskill can be really satisfying. I don't even think about my stats that much and I get really happy when I get +1 Strength or Constitution from Fortuna chant.
If anything at all I would change for humans as they are the most fertile is to give them +2 Charisma.

Eh, not all humans are charismatic either, though it would make some sense considering the adaptibility. I mean, look at Bob. A bit paunchy, bristly moustache?
Then again, look at Delport.

I've beat Narsrim.
Daganev2004-12-20 07:17:18
I had thought up of a RP idea. Like god that chooses to make itself in charge of keeping humans in good spirits and randomly resurects them while bashing all while being pretty low key about it.
Ethelon2004-12-20 07:45:59
Aye, Narsrim has lost many arena battles....and uhhhh, humans are fine the way they are.
Silvanus2004-12-20 07:49:32
I think Humans should have more charisma actually.
Aris2004-12-20 08:16:49
Yeah...if humans can mate with anything, they must have some sort of attracting features to other races....and I'm not just talking about a 'badunka dunk'.
Lisaera2004-12-20 12:51:50
Just because they can mate with everything doesn't mean everybody wants to mate with them.
Hence, they don't really deserve higher charisma.

eirene2004-12-20 13:16:50
Humans are tempting enough for me right now as an exclusive influencer due to the exp gain and because at the point my character is at, I don't really need much charisma to get the job done. I think for a lot of characters, especially at higher levels, the exp gain makes up for the other stats they lose because every stat other than exp gain can be supplemented through spells or food and because when you get higher up, experience at -1 exp gain takes a long time
Qaletaqa2004-12-21 08:50:07
Thirteen charisma would be nice too because I know the maximum in defences you can get is +2? With Netzach and Populus.
