Well, this is how it goes (last year):
Term 1: 11 weeks (begins somewhere around Feb. 1st)
Holiday: 2 weeks (Easter)
Term 2: 10 weeks
Holiday: 2 weeks
Term 3: 9 weeks
Holiday: 2 weeks
Term 4: 10 weeks
Holiday: 8 weeks (Christmas)
That adds to 54 weeks; it's not perfect, but some are only part-weeks, et cetera.
