I can get from one side of the world to the other in about three minutes. Quit whining.

When a village is raided throughout the ages there is a few responses.
If people come with political/words people will be wary, open, polite, hostile depending on there way of life, this i think is pretty much handled with the influence skills and the village peoples responses. Now if they are being raided in a violent sense the response is stand and fight, BUT the more common is for them to flee.
My idea is that when a quota of violence is reached within a village, a portion of villagers just dissapear (an announcement here). They would flee to the hills or caves and wait out the violence. They could be gone for a set period of time. Now when they return there influencing status would be changed depending on who had them influenced and which city/commune did the most aggressive actions against the others. So if 10 villagers left and 5 were leaning to the Seren but they were the ones that were the most aggreseve they would lose 4 of there influenced villagers.
The time that the villagers dissapeared for could be 30 mins but id prefer 7 hours. This time would require more thought in how the cities/commune went about influencing and give people in different time zones a chance to particapate. Also the free village would be open to all for awhile for quests and the like.
Another idea that the village gets fed up with there streets awash with blood and using the Obelisk kicks everyone out of their village for a while. Again when its reopened the past influenced villagers would be redone to account for which side has done the most aggressive acts.
I do like Kaelars idea but like its been said the influencing skills make it contrary.
