Someone throw me a sack of gold and i'll get the Disciples up again. Hell, its not like I can get the Serenwilde any angrier with me as it is, eh? We'll raise some hell.

I've found myself, in the past two weeks, spending more time on Aetolia then Lusternia. If you wish to know why, you can ask me why, btu I'm not crazy, just....

Amen.

I'd never leave Aetolia for Lusternia, or Lusternia for Aetolia, though.

Taking trips up to Astral is just SO FUN.

Whoah, roleplaying in a RP game?? jawdrop.gif

Now there's a thought.

You only say that because YOU weren't the one getting crushed by 5 obesefessors. Hmph. Poor Lomdomian.

For a lot of people I have discussed this topic with, they feel as though they can't RP, because they have too much else they HAVE to do all the time for their city or their guild or whatever. And unlike the other realms where HAVING to do these things was in itself something that was RP enforced (which makes it far easier to do or not do, depending on how you feel as a character), in Lusternia, you actually do HAVE to do these things, or at least the vast majority of people HAVE to, if you want your city (and thus your commodity supplies, power supplies, morale, etc) to stand a chance.
Niara2004-12-22 00:12:42
The only problem I have at the moment is with Magnagora and the way it forces itself upon the rest of the world.
It seems to me that they really try to destroy both Celest and Serenwilde. That might be fine ic but if you continue like this you will find your foes gone, annoyed and bored to hell. Some people in Magnagora don't see where they should stop. You don't need to stomp someone when he is already down, like for example this raid on Celest today with killing most of their guards and the few people that were online at that time. This isn't counterstrike and there is much more about this game than killing, killing and killing.
I see you complain about influencing and you fight for countless hours, one might think that it is enough when the village got influenced, but no, you cannot stop.....go on like this and you spoil this great mud. I really hope though that this won't happen.
Silvanus2004-12-22 00:16:21
You do realize that is the history of Magnagora and the Taint, Niara? Magnagora and Celest should try to destroy each other, and Serenwilde should hope for the destruction of cities.

I might take you up on that..
Niara2004-12-22 00:20:19
Yes, but this is a game where everyone should have fun...and it is not about winning this game. Only because two cities hate each other doesn't mean that they need to be in constant war. There are enough other ways.
Silvanus2004-12-22 00:21:18
Its a game about RPing, Magnagora should accept nothing but immediate and unconditional surrender from Celest, that is the only thing it should ever accept, not doing that would be completely ruining the Gods time of writing up a History to RP by.
Geb2004-12-22 00:39:56
I do have a thought. After Celest gives its unconditional surrender and the people either leave the realm or move to Magnagora, what next?
Jack2004-12-22 00:41:11
That'll never happen though, Geb. New cities and communes will sway the balance of power. Celest - indeed, any city - will never be destroyed entirely.
Silvanus2004-12-22 00:41:11
Serenwilde, obviously, the Taint's mission is to rule the Basin of Life, when it does, it'd be a vacation. But from an OOC point of view, that'll never ever happen.
Geb2004-12-22 00:48:46
Let's be realistic here. This world does not have even one third of the people in it at prime time that Achaea does. In order for there to be a real desire and need to expand the number of cities, there really needs to be a larger population of players.

So far, I have seen many people leave Lusternia because of the perceived imbalance in the cities and the constant conflict said imbalance seems to encourage. I have no problem with combat and the need of conflict to enhance role-play, but people need to use some common sense too. Making a raid where there are only a few people in the city at the time due to real time cycles is not good role-play. That is actually using your out of character knowledge and time to give you an advantage in game.
Silvanus2004-12-22 00:50:52
Ummm.....

For the longest time, Rafael and co. had done the "early morning raids," when no Magnagoran was around. Though I just found out today that Daevos and Valek killed 40 guards and destroyed 20 statues when there were 5 Celestians around.

Me and you Guido, you use your bear senses to spot those Serens and I'll use my trusty old axe forged by a Serenwilden to cut down trees.

Did I say that it was only ok when Celest does it? I stated the act of doing it is not good role-play, it matters not what side does it.

My bear senses basically work like this.

sleep
You close your eyes, curl up in a ball, and fall asleep.
(You idiot, why are you sleeping outside of a saferoom?)

The Whole of the Serenwilde swings a darksteel broadsword at you with all their might. Your torso explodes.

diag
You are:
Having an exploded... torso.

blink
You blink.

You bleed 763431 health.
You have been killed by the Serenwilde.

I beg to difer but that's just me.

I believe each IRE game is great on their own steed. Each IRE game appeals to a diffrent game style.

Personally I like only Achaea and Lusternia.
