But, but. They have to go SOMEwhere. And if we can't have them as fae, they gotta at least be like, guards for Serenwilde or something! mad.gif

This is a small, white creature that resembles a clay doll. It is about a foot tall and has no discernable hands or feet. Its most noticable trait is its massive head, composing easily a third of its height; irregular and similar to a gourd or seed pod, it has a pair of black holes for eyes and a third, located somewhat below and between the first two, for a mouth. Though it has no actual expression it seems somehow attentive and curious. Occasionally it tilts its head to the side, pauses, then snaps it back upright with a whispery rattle.

The echoing rattle of Spot, your Kodama watching over Some Random Area, alerts you to Foobar's presence in your demesne.

See? That wasn't hard!

And aside from being bargain-basement pets (since these will need constant attention, cannot be made immortal, etc.), using bred creatures as passive, demesne-watching wildlife sounds fun. Just don't forget to feed and play with them!

AB RITUALS RITUALBINDING

At the cost of 15 coal, and 15 platinum, a practitioner of the ritualistic arts may prepare a sacred circle on the ground, in which they may draw together their sorceric abilities to form a being uniquely created by them.

AB SACRAMENTS(or whatever the celestian specialization of rituals is) CELESTIALGUARDIAN

With a suit of fullplate, a greathelm, a bladed weapon, and two pieces of light essence lying on the floor of the room that the Celestian has formed a ritual binding in, a personal guardian may be summoned from the requisite materials. It may not leave the confines of the ritual binding room, but while within will remain loyal to the creator, defending the room from those who are enemied to the creator.
Celestial Guardian deals weapon damage (dependant on the weapon used for the formation) as well as magic damage occaisionally.

(similar skill but for necromancerers, requiring a corpse, 2 dark essence, a greatrobe. Does mainly magical damage and rarely hits with charybdon.)

(similarly for aqua and geomancers but with elemental golems.)

Just a thought. It would essentially give someone a place to run to if they were in trouble. Eh, probably a bad idea, but what the hell. *shrug*

That's essentially a combat skill. Just not a mobile one.

Perhaps something like that, only instead of guards or warriors, you can summon an angelic teacher or a demonic seer?

Ab Nihilism/Celestialism RitualCircle or Ab Wicca SpellCircle

By using minor mystical icons, you draw a sacred circle upon the ground to bring forth a bestower of knowledge to grace you.

Celestines: 15 Coal and 5 Sapphire (Or another type of blue stone)
Nihilists: 15 Coal and 5 Onyx (Or Bloodstone)
Moondancers: 15 Coal and 5 Moonstones

Using your knowledge of the mystical powers, you expertly draw a circle upon the ground. Aligning the precious stones with the cardinal directions, you deem this place sacred for beings to be summoned from.

Ab Nihilism/Celestialism Teacher or Ab Wicca Teacher

Once a Ritual Circle or Spell Circle has been created, you can summon a teacher of our approriate cosmic plane, or realm of existence, to teach you and guide you.

Celestines: Uttering prayers to the Light and hymns to the Supernals, the Ritual Circle brims with divine energy. Within the centre of the Circle, a beautiful angel appears in a cascade of light and feathers, ready to teach all who need her. halo.gif

Nihilists: Chanting vile spells to the taint and dark prayers to the Demon Lords, the Ritual Circle glows with sinster light. Within the centre of the Circle, a disgusting demon appears in a flash of crimson and smell of brimstone, ready to bestow his dark knowledge upon all who call upon him. pureevil.gif

Moondancers: Dancing to the secret song of the Moon and the Fae, the Spell Circle writhes in ethereal moonlight. Within the centre of the Circle, a small timid Fae girl appears bathed in moonlight and silvery motes, ready to tell the secrets to all who call upon her. harp.gif

Oooh, that's a great idea. It would be good stuff for rogues, too. (I'd make it Celestialism & Nihilism, though, not rituals.)
Jasper2004-12-27 21:39:12
You said to write that in Nihilism and Celestialism so I did. What about them Mages and Druids?

Ab Geomancy/Aquamancy ArcaneRift or Ab Druidry NatureHome?

Aquamancers: 15 coal and 5 Aquamarine (Or anything blue stone)
Geomancers: 15 coal and 5 Bloodstone
Druids: 15 coal and 5 Emeralds

By using your knowledge of obscure arcane texts, you draw a perfect circle upon the ground. You quickly align the stones to the cardinal points and begin to whisper secret chants to deem this spot sacred for things to be summoned from.

Ab Geomancy/Aquamancy Tutor or Ab Druidry Shaman

Once an Arcane Rift or Nature Home has been placed in a room, you can summon from your approriate plane, or realm of existence, an teacher of sorts.

Aqumancers: Drawing mystical glyphs of blue light into the air, you begin to chant arcane sentences, as the rift fills with the sounds of the ocean. Flashes of brilliant blue and light green fill the rift as a tall merian man appears, draped in seaweed, ready to teach all who call upon him.

Geomancers: Small pebbles and stones begin to levitate as you whisper arcane spells. The rift gleams with unnatural reddish light, as in the centre of it a short viscanti woman appears, ready to tell the secrets of geomancy and other arcane powers.

Druidry: Ethereal lights glow in somber colors, as you send prayers to the Great Spirits. The home brims with emerald light as plants begin to grow more and more, while small animals move towards the space. In the centre of the home is a old Furrikin, clothed in honey brown robes, waiting to spread his wisdom to young Druids.

I still want my shoulder-demon! *pouts*

Shoulder-demon?

Ab Nihilism Beast

By joining your blood with the crimson powers of Nil, you can create a simple demon who just sits there and talks. Not only that, he sits on your SHOULDER and whispers witty yet spiteful remarks to all who cross your path.

You bite at your wrist until you see your wickedly delicious blood. With simple chant the blood falls upon the ground, mingling with the eneriges of Nil that writhes about in this tainted room. In moments, the blood creates an egg sac, which quickly brings forth a small impish demon to toy with.
