Someone spends RL CASH to buy every single artifact in existance. They then kill every single newbie who walks our of the portal, sexually harrsess people and uses profane languange in shouts and all channels.
That person then becomes banned for life.

Time and effort and money spent mean less then nothing in a game environement you are trying to make fun and emmersive.

If a game wants to have legitmacy as a good roleplaying experience and game worth playing, it doesn't hurt to listen to the playerbase to see what they do and don't like in a game.

We players have every right to show our distaste for the use of ingame mechanics to ruin the game for us.

And Brona.. How can anyone be OOC to hurt someone if its just a game, relax. If I can be Hurt by something you do to me OOCly, then obviously you think some people should relax and some people should take the game seriously.

Movies have bombed and lost millions of dollars because at just one point in the movie, the charachters do something that don't fit the movie world and people's suspension of disbeleif is taken away.
If thats true for a multi billion dollar business, Its even more true for a game where people invest their time and emotions into it.

I'm mainly just going to echo all the other people who voted to ban them. Give people back their money, but get rid of that stuff. RP is already deteriorating in many places, don't compound the problem by letting this kind of thing slide.

Alright, so back on topic...

If we take the Forum users as a representative sample of the Lusternian populace (which it is dangerous to do, but it works well for me so let's do it anyways), it would seem as though somewhere around 2/3rds of Lusternia do not want OOC clans. Of course this could shift the more votes we get, but I'm willing to bet it would stay a healthy bit above 50% of the population. I think it prudent at this point to ask for the input of a Divinity on this matter, given that we've thus far had none and have been dragged way off topic of late. Does the Administration have a particularly strong reason for allowing OOC clans in the first place, or is this just carryover from previous IRE realms?

I'd really like it if we could all grow up a little. Stop the namecalling.

More on the topic, I've yet to spill over onto anything outta the ooc clan im on, and on rare occations ive seen it happen to others admitadly.
Aim/MSN all the rest does not have the same sense of feel as a clan in the game, any of you that have used both can attest to that, its a place where we're all -already- in a room, no screwin around makin rooms and invites, you log on yer there, a place where we can talk game life, assorted odd topics with people that may even be in a different city/guild. Hasnt yet make me stop to urge to "go kill that priesty bastard" even though its the same person i spent the last 10 mins in a clan shootin the breeze with. Some of these are people i dont mind sittin and chattin wiht, but the paranoid i am, dont feel like handin out an aim or other im name to so i dont get bugged or talked to when i dont feel like it (clans are easier to ignore too *heh*)

I think the part I find odd is alot complaining bout losing rp etc, are the same that complain that they get killed and they want everything nice and peacefull in the game, when followin most of the roles in the game, we're all gonna wanna beat each other on the head to gain access to all the resources available.

Theres no ulterior motive to the clan, jus a group BS'n with each other, usin the clanhelps and the boards to pass around odd statements and insights. In the cases where the "ooc clans are promoting some charecters to act ooc out of the clan" these are charecters that im sure would have wound up that bad , or where bad enough to start with. Any IRE game ive been on the ooc clans ive been in have reduced my urges to be ooc in charecter since i can bug those same people on the other channel.

Hopefully those that are voting or readin get past the preceeding insults junk, and get a chance to read this.
