Quidgyboo. I help when I see the opportunity, but I don't really feel the need to list what I do, Santa knows =)

Although I personally believe donating money to be one of the cruelest deeds imaginable (although this has direct links to my hatred of the capitalist system). But I think it's great that so many people are staying to help clean up. If you want to support these areas financially, plan a trip to one of the regions, as most of them rely on tourism.

Random Tsunami Facts

The tsunami was caused by an earthquake in the Indian Ocean, when one tectonic plate - this a large chunk of the world, for reference - slid up against another, rising 100 feet in a few seconds. This sent out perpendicular waves that hit India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Western Australia, and all of eastern Africa, including Madagascar.

In Sri Lanka, several hundred villagers died because they assumed the roar was from fighter-bombers in a revival of the local civil war, and didn't take proper measures to protect themselves.
