They can, via use of OOC knowledge. The characters don't have to communicate, the player just does it anyway. Like I said, it's not outside the rules that way, but it does badly break the IC spirit.

If the 'player' is relaying information between the two, then the player is cheating. That's just plain illegal (using information from one character on another character)

The ultimate point being, don't try to cheat the system. Using the above scenario that the player simply informs the other side's leadership, if he's doing so to assist Celest or Magnagora without doing so in a roleplaying capacity then yes, he's still "assisting" his main character with information. There is no work around, it's simply illegal, that's all there is to it.

Eh, fair enough. No complaints here.

Well it seems to me that it would probably make a great deal of sense (And I'm surprised it hasn't been suggested yet), to have a city secret channel in a similar manner to guilds. Okay, so each nation has created army clan channels for this information to be transmitted more safely... but things like important battle information shouldn't be relayed across open city channels anyway. Even properly legal "in character" spies can use that then. City Secret channel with a city rank requirement would be a handy idea and a simple one to implement.

I'd certainly not object to Elaria's proposal. Then again, we already HAVE the army clans, so there's not much point now. It would've been useful to have from the start though, since it worked for guilds, after all.

Guido isn't even a member of a city, so don't go sniffing around me.
