Environment definitely needs work. Currently, it's just Survival, but without all the really useful stuff that got stuck into Discipline. I just can't seem to think of anything cool or useful at the moment.

actually, I find the amount of skillsets that have 12 or less skills in them slightly disheartening. But I'm sure they will add skills to those skillsets when everything else is balanced out. Probabbly just short 2 or 3 skills to make a nice 24 skills or more.

They did it with Stag/Moon, they'll do it with the short skillset, methinks (Discipline et al.). I was just hoping to spark some ideas. *cheer Desdemona*
I wonder, though, why can't rooftops just be the same as treetops, but in cities? Or does the really sucky way elevations were coded make that out of the question too?

It's actually a mix of Survival and Vision with a few new things mixed in. Maybe the source of your complaint is the fact Vision sucks. (Though I do believe we eliminated some of the annoying aspects of Vision, like constant mana drains for some things...)

Here is another nice skill... simple one, too.
Kickdust- Kickdust (person): Kick dust into a person's eyes blinding them and stunning them briefly.
Also, an alternative for healing venom afflictions (of course, if someone manages to place themselves into safety before doing this)
VenomSuck: Suck- Suck the venom out of your wounds. Becareful, there is a high chance that you might instead die. (Takes 2-5 seconds to suck a venom out).
Also, it would be nice to have somekind of skill that allows you to see things on surrounding rooms (I think this skill is Vigilance in Vision?). This always seems helpful. Of course... I think it could also ruin the element of surprise.
EDIT: Oh, how about if falconry and archery somehow got implemented under the environment skill? It would be... superb
EDIT: Forgot to mention... how about if people could loot corpses (only loot them out of clothes, armour weapons)? Something like this:
SYNTAX: Loot (dead person): You are nothing more than a common thug, go ahead plunder and defile the corpse of the person you have just slain. May you enjoy your malicious bounty.

Hmm, here I thought discernment was the weak skill!
BTW, discipline will probably not get skills added because it's main feature is a quicker regeneration of power, which is VERY powerful. Thus, we feel that this more than makes up for the sparcity of skills in this set. (Not to mention the higher the discipline skill, the faster willpower regenerates.)

I wouldn't mind seeing like 20 little skills added to environment. Snowball was a nice little thing to get, what about others like that? It wouldn't throw off the quicker regeneration, because you'd just get more skills for your lessons.
Small easy to code skills like kicking up dirt, allowed only in certain types of rooms, and it makes it harder to see.
The way I see it, the more little skills we have, like snowballs, and sitting on chairs, the more realistic this world becomes.

Environment, discernment, and discipline all seemed kinda weak to me.
Although I would agree that those side benefits to the skill are great, even if the skill can only be used for RP purposes, just seeing new skills on your list makes you feel like your not wasting credits.

Here is an idea for Environment.
Sitting - You have finally learned some lessons of Savoir-Vivre and the muscles of your back and buttock have been trained to adapt at any kind of rough or soft surfaces. From now on, you will sit elegantly and no longer be found sprawled on the floor.

Discernment and discipline both rock in my opinion, discipline is worth every lesson put into it cause of the aformentioned reasons, and discernment's damn useful both in combat as for utility, discernment is WAY more valuable than vision...I think the only lacking skillsets Lusternia has is riding and environment, environment cause it's just completely useless from the first to the last skill, and riding cause it's a copy of achaea.
