Heh, the messages during the debates are great. And i'm strength dosen't carry over. I was thinking of it along the lines of your in-game alcohol tolerance, that it will slowly build over a long period of time if you do it a lot.

Can you also fight while debating? in non-sanctuaried rooms? Perhaps allow someone to engage another in a debate, midfight, while the enemy lashes out at them with their blades, or whatnot, they utterly demoralize them and cause them to lose all will to continue fighting? If you dont pay attention to the verbal riposte of your enemy, as well as the physical, you could find yourself in dire straights. It might give the faelings a chance to defend themselves from marauding Magnagorans.

Imagine if you will, Valek, the mighty warrior, and random faeling. Valek is a master of the blade, and the faeling a master of the mindscrew, guerilla ontology, and verbal combat. The faeling spends its time alternating between protecting itself from Valek's aggressive onward charge and slowly debates him into the ground causing him to lose all morale. Granted the odds of a faeling draining Valek's ego before he bled them dry are low, but it still gives a chance.

Perhaps also cause losing a debate to depress someone such that they cannot fight for the same period as with influencing loss associated with debate already.

I like that idea, actually.
Granted, it'd be higher up in Influence than normal debating, but it would be great, especially for the less PK minded, if someone with Trans Influencing but little combat could batter them pyschologically/verbally enough to put them off fighting for 10 minutes.

That does sound like a very nice idea actually. The insult effect. Remember Monkey Island? *laughing*. The pitched battle pauses for a moment to lash out at your enemy with an insult to put them off guard. Could fit in very nicely, but I can imagine it would take SUCH a lot of work to balance.

The only thing I saw that was bad was people using sanctuary campaigns in mid-combat to stop themselves from dying.

Other then that, it all looks really cool.
