I agree. If his punishment is just being a maggot.. then I'm a little upset. Should leaf him up for awhile.. and who the hell is Lockist?
I'm tempted to call HELP SECONDS in on this, if he is Lockist. Even though he wasn't multiplaying the fact that he childishly spammed both Serenwilde and the world voiced Nikua's "anger" as well.Â
If you're reading this, Nikua, then I suggest you go and lay down for awhile. Take a nap.

I said if. You really need a hug. Is your blood still rushing from the thrill of what happened earlier?
Raezon2005-01-04 02:57:10
As for the guards in Serenwilde, you'll notice I didn't stay long. Just long enough for you to realize what I "could" do. Ultimately Raezon has no specific malign intent towards anyone; however, he's always happy to educate people about exactly what the ramifications of their actions are. In discussing the situation with several people, I had already come to the conclusion that Gregori didn't exactly have total support in regards to Raezon's enemying and thus I took pains to demonstrate such. In the end, did Serenwilde lose anything in the interaction? Did Raezon mess with the tree or really do anything totally horrible? Not really. I wouldn't have lead the guards away from White Hart or Miakoda while someone was attacking because I do have a sense of honor, and ultimately I prefer watching mortals' interactions more than Raezon's. Also, as Cronnacht has mentioned in another thread, I wasn't being petty. Petty would be doing something like disturbing the tree or just mistakenly dropping White Hart off in the middle of Magnagora. Serenwilde lost nothing in the exchange with Raezon and actually gained some bit of knowledge.
As for the totem bonding change, it wasn't really a change. It was something that was fixed and again as mentioned in another thread, most totem users felt that was the correct use of it anyways until they found out differently and started not worrying about bonding them all. Despite that, Serenwilde managed to stop Magnagora's attempts at killing White Hart several times with the simple use of guards and willowisps. Thus, the totem change didn't truly affect the situation in any specific regard.

As a rule, I don't like to comment on events as they are happening. Nonetheless, I will note some responses to players activities have happened in Serenwilde. Also, I don't like to 'rush' events so don't expect immediate reactions (especially since flexible events take time to respond to player actions with special coding and whatnot). If players choose not to progress an event or if the situation doesn't progress because of player interaction, I'm perfectly content to let things 'stew'.
By the way, this started as a player-inspired event that we decided to let run, and to which we are responding as player interaction unfolds. I have no idea why anyone would think that any side was 'pushed' into doing something they didn't want. Even if a patron god uses a heavy hand in his or her RP role, ultimately it is the players' choice. So far, I will say that I find it interesting that both sides think the event is 'stacked' against them and several on each side are 'positive the gods are setting their side up to lose'. To that, I can only say that you are wrong and recommend that you RP as strongly as possible and watch and respond to how the situation evolves.

That's all I really wanted to know. I understand if it's an event, but if it was a bug, then I really wanted it to be fixed, as well as let the Magnagorans know that there MIGHT have beem a bug.
After all, IRE has always been very strict about bugs and abuse of them.

Your not understanding. We can influence a village IF. You can find potions IF. That's my point. Everyones whining about a monopoly when you can always find people to circumvent it. There's no absolute monopoly. PLUS if you read my post BOB can supply you with the basics. Don't like getting the basics, stop waging war.

Strawman argument.
It doesn’t have to be an absolute monopoly in order to be a problem.

From what I've heard, concerning the strawgrass problem and feeding. The Colt that was given Sweetgrass while in the room with the mother (father?) Colt, which is where you bring them when you give them the grass in the first place. So, sense it was already there, it would not follow you again, just so you can spin it around and say here ya go....now, from what it sounds, it was a "bug" that allowed Veonira to give the tainted grass stuff to the colt, while in the room with the Colt mother (father) and lead it off. That bug has now been fixed so once the colts are lead to the mother colt they are safe until their reset. Now, this sounds right to me...if my information was correct to begin with...but I'm old..so it's easy to assume I messed this up somehow
Estarra2005-01-04 05:45:50
Ethelon, I don't know what "bugs" you are talking about. From my discussions with Poloma, apparently some sweet grass was somehow prepared in a way which emitted a scent that hypnotically compulsed the colts to eat it even if they were full. Fortunately, Poloma has gotten wise to this sweet grass and will be on the lookout. It's all perfectly logical. "Bugs" indeed!

Meh... posting IC on the forums is confusing, so you are confirming that was a bug? Or just an oversight?
Unknown2005-01-04 14:05:47
I asked if the grass had been altered in a way like the orcs do with chokeberries. Paloma answered that yes they had been altered, though it was a little vague if she meant by the Acknor process or not.
Gwylifar2005-01-04 16:12:18
Boy, I wish Poloma would talk to me like that. I talk to her all the time, and Tokota, too, asking these very same questions, have been for months, but she always just gives me that blank stare and once in a while reminds me that she'd like her colts back. Ah, well.
Shiri2005-01-04 16:35:02
Yeah, it's depressing when that stuff happens, Gwylifar.
Poloma asking, "Oh, wear are my colts?"
"Er, where are my colts?"
was pretty amusing though.
