Bringing back the Rage Channel would make my life worth living again.

Whats the Rage Channel? Though I'm sure I can imagine....

Rage Channel? I seek enlightenment! (or however that is spelled)

The Rage channel, for all of you who didn't play Achaea back when it was a pup, was a channel for you to vent off your anger. It was public and I think OOC? It's been years since I heard it talked about.. Rhysus obviously remembers better though.

lets just stick this forum into the game while we are at it.

Sorry, could you like.. elaborate? I don't wanna assume that you mean this is the rage board.. (Which it sure as hell is in some cases, but for stupid reasons..)

to me, I feel ooc talk that relates to the charachters of the game should be moved as far away as possible from the actual game mechanics.

We have the idiots forum here, and not looking at the title of the thread exactly, assumed it was in that forum.

I realized this pass weak that I'm not entirely against OOC talk in game, as long as that OOC talk is similiar to "Brazil just won the World Cup!" and not "OOcly, that was quite a nice way to stab your friend in the back there, but ofcourse I'm against it".. and RAGE is/was always about the second type of OOC.

Umm aren't you the same one that started the whole OOC clan bashing, and now you wanna put in a (about as ooc as a clan) rage channel?

Course I was all for the clans, and I miss (Rage):

Rage wasn't OOC

It was IC.

It was a universal channel in that it reached everyone, anywhere, and providing you stayed within language limits, you could argue/yell at individuals.

It corresponded with the OOC channel, OOC. ;-)

See, I'm a 100% supporter of having people vent to lighten their mood and get things off their chest, and I encourage my friends to do it to me all the time. Problem is, this most likely wouldn't actually achieve that, because people would argue with what's said on it, and each other, if they even remotely took offense to things (and we've seen this happen on the idiots forum, so I REALLY doubt it's just going to magically stay away from a Rage channel), which just makes everyone even MORE riled up.

I reckon it'd have the opposite effect than intended. Bad idea, in my opinion.

This was mostly a joke, so all of you people that actually supported bringing the Rage channel back...*shudder* I'm surprised at you Merloch. *grin* But hey, if we ever have an Altersturnia for a while for testing some grand new system, definitely a good opportunity to throw that Rage back in there.

On a side note, Rhysus - I'm surprised it took that long for people to start that stuff after debating was introduced. Now I'm just glad we can't learn any extra languages.

Rage was hands down my favorite thing ever in any IRE mud.

It only got bad when it changed from the 'rage' channel to the 'I am issueing you for blah because of blah and saying it over this channel hoping a god hears it to further my case against you' channel, in the days before you could post a reply to issues stating your side of it. Lusternia wouldn't have this problem and I think they should give it a chance.
