I really hope you don't have to wield those hourglasses... if theres one thing I hate from some of the classes is seeing people wielding stupid things that arn't weapons.
Qaletaqa2005-01-04 06:28:47
Thats kinda cool.

Some of it looks good, one problem
Syntax: FLING PRINCESS AT GROUND
Power: 8 (Any)
The vibration of Princess Marilynth, who sacrificed herself so others could start anew, will give you this same gift, curing you of nearly every affliction you have. But it will also negate nearly every defence you have.

Damn. I was going off Full Moon and Green Chakra, so I thought it would actually work with 3 power given that time was an offensive magic so it shouldn't be as powerful as those two, which (I thought) removed all/most afflictions for a power cost with no defences nulled. Hrm. Well, sadly upped to ten power then. And no, Daganev, you don't have to wield the hourglasses.
Nika2005-01-05 04:02:40
Bumped, because I'm liking liking this a -lot-.
Although I think that the hourglass -should- have to be wielded, otherwise how're you going to prevent these magi using their skills?

Maedhros2005-01-05 04:07:27
Maybe have the hourglass have a decay rate, and it stays with them after they log off, acting like a real item. The hourglass will be able to be implemented into shields and stuff by forgers, whereupon it gains the decay rate of the shield (decaying when the shield does).
Shoshana2005-01-05 04:12:51
Saying that they shouldn't wield their hourglasses because they aren't weapons is like saying that mages shouldn't wield staves because they aren't weapons: Just because they don't use it to hit things with it doesn't mean it would be silly to wield it.
Maedhros2005-01-05 04:21:34
Staves are weapons. Jeez.
Nika2005-01-05 06:02:09
Eh, it's not going to be just a 'random thing wielded' like panties or something stupid like that. It's a class-specific item, and besides, from Shiri's outlines it IS a weapon.

I suppose the former would work if rather than needing resummoning the hourglass acted as a timecatcher, gathering time into sand that only accumulated enough to use for an attack every day. Yep, in fact I'll change that. Then it can be wielded, but I don't really think it should be used as a shield. (For reference, all the hourglass effects require for them to be, say, spun around or something, so you'd be able to stop them by breaking their arms regardless of if they were weapons or not.)
It's not supposed to have a decay time, though.

Let me see the other skillset? Pretty please?
And how's this - you could have a few extra tradeskills, kind've like Alchemy and Herbs, but for city-dwellers. They could be 'rediscovered' as the cities are unfrozen.
CHEMISTRY
In the science of chemistry, the chemist learns to make various mixtures and substances to change the properties of items. From simple mixtures to resist rust or fire, the chemist works his way up to the masterful technique of turning mineral commodities into gold.

If by other skillset you mean Dreamweaving and Soulshaping, I've about finished the former (minor tweaks going in as I get a helpful Iridine to look for obvious flaws) and managed to doodle half the latter in free period today.
Chemistry, that I'll work on. Thanks for the ideas.
EDIT: Ah, no, you meant the ent summoning one. I'm working on a sort of...axiomatic golem type skillset too. I'm just not fast enough to create a skillset in two days.
Unknown2005-01-05 17:59:07
Sounds a lot like alchemy.
Shiri2005-01-05 18:06:17
No, no, Alchemy here is really a misnomer. The stuff I reckon Hazar's suggestion is more like transmutation (although I wanted the Vortex dervishes to have that in Fullmetal Alchemist style, so I'll call it something else.), and creating various items. Like a rust powder. It's not potions, more a sort of assorted-items thing. Like enchantment from other IRE.
Also I wanted to get start on Crow totems, but give me time. I'm not exactly good at this stuff you know, I just have a lot of time to spare.
(If everyone else can help me refine this so it's really good though, would the Divine consider it for use in any way? I know it's a long shot, but it would be neat.)

Tell me if you need any help with anything. I'm trying to work on Crow totems myself, and Night, if possible. Although I only have up to 100% adept totems, so I'm going to need more info soon. Exactly how do Stag facepaints work?
Shiri2005-01-05 20:59:38
Facepaints take the tinctures to do, then you can apply one facepaint at a time to get their effect. Also, thanks for the offer of help. MSN people are welcome to poke me if they have any suggestions, as I'm still open to improvements here.
Unknown2005-01-05 22:07:42
A skill effecting time would be quite cool. Yes. Mmm.
Shiri2005-01-05 22:10:45
Glad you think so. *cheer Iggy & whoever else*
EDIT: Well, as I've just decided that I'll probably have these guys use Cosmic as well, Aetherblast is rather pointless, since they already have a basic attack. Deleting it now, but if anyone can think of a reason why it should stay there, do say so.

Latest updates - The sand and matter powers, as well as Implosion and Shatter, have been updated to cost Matrix-specific power.
Shiri2005-01-19 23:44:37
Update: Annnnd, because I'm stupid and forgot about this, put in an ego-restoring power, though it goes rather badly with Physics. Will work better in Faith.

Nice ideas for the skills .... you could get hired for this The ppl who made Lusternia were originally Achaea players who got hired or something.
