It would be nice if there was an NPC teacher somewhere neutral in Lusternia for those who are guildless similar to the ones in other realms, so that people dont have to search for somebody to learn guildskills from. I am not sure if this is true or not, but I'm guessing that those whom wish to roam the lands guildless will not be small in number due to gaining permanency of skills after graduating novicehood.
Val2005-01-03 08:36:31
Um....NO! Wait let me think....NO!!! The point of not having them, is to discourage rouges, and it works.
Unknown2005-01-03 08:36:44
Being guildless is not something encouraged, as far as I know.

THE WORD IS ROGUE NOT ROUGE ROUGE IS A COLOUR IN FRENCH AAARGH.
Unknown2005-01-03 14:37:42
Yeah, the point is they aren't gunna make your life easier as a rogue.

Definitions of rouge:
noun: makeup consisting of a pink or red powder applied to the cheeks
verb: redden by applying rouge to; of cheeks
Then again, all the guildless people I've seen so far have about the intelligence level of rouge. No offense.
You'd have to be that stupid to abandon your nexus at this point.

I betrayed her Order. I don't think i'll be on her 'intelligent' list if I win the Nobel Peace Prize.

I am not sure on it, but wouldn't the City or Commune Nexus Keeper be able to teach you? If you were removed from your City or Commune you would be in trouble, but not if you were guildless.
Unknown2005-01-04 02:58:57
Even so, the city tutors only teach to adept in guild skills, I think.
Jasper2005-01-04 03:00:54
Oh, that is right. Nevermind my thought then.
Daganev2005-01-04 05:02:39
Neutral tutors were discussed at length before.... I've had lots of fun with people trying to learn from me.
Me? Me stupid, me can't teach notin!

Know what I hate in other IRE Muds? How all tutors teach all skills. How the Good Light Tutor Guys of Enorian, (Handel, Trabarg, Averroes before he died) could teach Necromancy and Tarot. I'm trying to make the Enorian tutors stop teaching that skills now I'm a Vizier, so it'd just be an annoyance if it was like that here.
But if the neutral teacher didn't care about good or evil, and was some sort of prophet who had loads of knowledge, (like a priest of Roark or something), and only cared about imparting wisdom, it'd make sense.

Yes, rouges are discouraged, because of the way everything works. And I can tell you, life without a nexus was somewhat irritating, but I got along without power. -And- I transed several things while rogue. Know how hard it was to find someone trans magic?

Yes, because you were shouting about it for houuurs and houuurs and everyone was telling you to shut up.
Hazar2005-01-05 18:23:19
I understand the whole concept, I just disliked a Divine calling me 'stupid' because I'm roleplaying my charecter.
P.S. I even like the rogue Lusternian life.

Actually no, for like the last real year, tutours have only taught what it makes sense for them to know.
Typhus2005-01-09 04:03:57
A wandering tutor who travels from village to village and holds basic knowledge in all skills would nice.

A wandering tutor who held knowledge in all common skills would be nice, but no guild-related ones.
