Why was mindset removed from defenses? Did it even serve a purpose before, or was it just there?

People could see what mindset others were using by way of certain abilities whilst it was a defense.

It also appears in your STAT, which was the only place it was intended to be. DEF was an oversight.

Last time someone tested debate on me, he constantly used his pooka to change my mindset before debating me with the most damaging debate style. Just curious as to was this originally intended to be force-able?
