I think since faelings are descended from fae upon reaching lvl 50 they should get some special skill or the ability to summon fae that other moondancers cant.

Like at lvl 50 they become immune to that thing that turns the fae against them.

Or even a special fae that breaks limbs

It'd be nice to have all races have something special..

Elfen/Merian/Viscanti can specialize depending on guild.

Maybe faelings could get some sort of bonus with Wicca, or the ability to go to the Ethereal Plane at will or something.

You want immunity to disfigurement? *laugh* Learn how to cure it instead, its not -that- difficult.
Daganev2005-01-04 06:04:46
or just trans Influence.... did I say that outloud?
Elryn2005-01-04 06:05:47
The ability to befriend one fae so it doesn't cost power to be summoned, perhaps? *hum* Oh! And so we can name him/her!

This is one of those things that irk me.

I'd always thought of Faelings as perpetually hovering... why do they swim across the top of the water? I've no Faeling characters, or plan to. It would tickle me to no end if they didn't have to swim across water, though.

Flying creatures... I know they can fall if hit badly, but don't you think they'd have a good chance at breaking their fall with their wings, ala levitation? You know... glide down.

Eh.
Elryn2005-01-04 07:38:07
Aye, Eldanien, there's been quite a bit of support for that. *nudge* 5612 happy.gif

yeah, I was going to play a faygelah faeling faerie, but it was most definitly the fact that they don't have pernament leveitation and can't move freely over non underwater locations that made me go for the burly bonebreaking bear.... Most definitly the hover thing that changed my mind *nod me*

Furrikin aren't exactly great at things either. For a Seren, which is what most of the few Furrikin are, roll is rather useless, since they have Horse totem and all.

Maybe with Ackleberry though.

What about a mag or celest faeling? They might not exist yet, but they will. They shouldn't get a guild specific ability, but I would think a chance to ignor effects from fae would be cool.
Like every time a fae hits you, theres a 5% chance it won't do anything.
Daganev2005-01-04 20:17:12
there are plenty of mag and celest faelings, Mag even had a furrikin and we have tae'dae and all those other foresty races... just not elves if we can help it.

Viscanti, Elfen, and Merian are all guild specific races. (Well, City/Commune specific. )

I personally like the idea of able to return to Faethorn Court/Ethereal Plane, but some people have the inability to actually roleplay characters.
Unknown2005-01-04 20:25:22
I think it has to depend on the rp. Magnagora would accept every race but Merian and Elfen because of their speclization with their commune or city

edit: I disagree with the fae summong thing, mainly because Faelings are half faes and half Elfens and are not true faes like those in faethorn court

In the help file for faelings it says that they are given special status by wiccans. I just thought it would be cool if they would get something becuase of it.
