Hello!
I'm currently trying to gather a bunch of information for a Lusternia website I'm putting together, mainly: skills, QUESTS, scripts and triggers. So if you might have some useful quests written down, or could write down, that somebody could benefit from I'd be in debt if you would put them in a reply message, email them to me at SugarAndTheSun@gmail.com, give them to me on my AOL name, SugarAndTheSun, or PM them to me. I'll give credit where needed of course.
Thank you!

Estarra doesn't like web-sites with quests on em, so you won't be getting em from me

Useful information, hoozah. Thank ya very much, certainly would be against purpose to post something that was disliked, eh?
Ethelon2005-01-05 00:17:48
How about you stop spamming every bloody forum topic with your damn request for information.
Unknown2005-01-05 00:48:11
Aww, you're a cute one. I suppose the:
If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all, or find something nice to say
saying doesn't apply on this forum? It's funny how all it takes is some words, cussing isn't even needed! Hoozah! Everybody is just so uppity, it's like Lusternia is infinitely upscale in comparisson to the world. I really doubt one line on somebody's monitor is also spam. A.) It's a small amount of space and B.) You don't have to read these.

You've made a bunch of topics on the same thing, just ask for it in one place and be done with it. Geeze.
Unknown2005-01-05 00:55:13
Unoriginal, already stated, but thanks!
And I can't go back, it can't be fixed, but if you have admin powers feel free to delete them all and I can repost one condensed one. Until then...

Hi, SugarAndTheSun, I hope you're enjoying the world of Lusternia as much as we all do (I assume you're already a character here and are creating a fan site because you like what you've seen).
But I would beg with you, please... PLEASE, don't make a website that reveals all the quests and skills. I believe part of the magic of the game is in discovering this for oneself. Though you will have fun in finding them all and posting to your website, it will destroy the enjoyment for those who follow.
Scripts and triggers, well, thats ooc stuff, if you really must I can't really discourage you. But every detail of every skill is not supposed to be common knowledge, and quests, particularly in this realm, are not just timed experience boosters.
Perhaps you could post general comments about each guild and their skills and history, and non-specific advantages and disadvantages? That would help new players without ruining the surprise. Maybe you could mention the places where you might find a quest, but say nothing of how to undertake it.
Yes, there are plenty of maps available, but they don't give nearly enough information to satiate an explorer, such as what sort of an environment it is, who can be found there, and so on.

Which is all very acceptable but the full world map on lusternia.com does give the environment type, useful for meh harvesting I'm agreeing to not post quests, sho' thang. However, I'm not seeing much harm in posting skills, not the in depth AB. I'm certainly willing to take out guild skills etc., might it still be objectable if I posted common skills, or trade skills instead?

Hehe, sorry, I slip into 'in-character fudging' mode sometimes without meaning to. When I say environment, I mean title, descriptions, exits, etc.
Do you mean a list of skills without explaining what they do or how to use them? Hmm, I suppose that might be alright, probably for the common skills. You might want to just check with the admin to make sure they are happy with it.
But guild skills I think should be rather secret (as much as that is possible without asking someone directly), since I shouldn't know exactly how to force someone with my pooka to do a skill that will help me, when I've never seen it in character before.

Like accidentally saying month when you mean day, and totally freaking out your friends when you're taking a little while off to revise for exams? Or referring to books, files, webpages and everything as scrolls? I hear ya, man.
Elryn2005-01-05 01:33:11
not quite that bad usually... though I did once say 'lol' (as in lol-lipop) out loud to a joke once.
Oh, and I noticed I've developed an involuntary twitch when working in a shell so I randomly enter WHO, LOOK, SCORE and STAT commands every now and again. Damn Lusternia getting inside my head!

Doh, that first one was pretty lethal. Saying lol is enough to get stabbed anywhere on the internet with a lot of people, let alone out loud.
Also, yes. I type QL -all the friggin' time.- And GWHO. I catch myself most of the time, but sometimes it slips through.
Or I say "qq" instead of "Bye!"

Extra! Extra! Read all about it!
Men cower, women scream, and children cry as yet another not-so innocent thread falls victim to the malicious Shiri. Today, at 8:30 PM EST, this poor thread found itself cornered to the feared Shiri, infamous hijacker of threads.
"It was horrible," says SugarAndTheSun, founder of the victimized thread, "I just wanted to gather information about Lusternia, but Shiri has transformed it into an OOC-Lusternia habits topic."
Aided by partner-in-crime Elryn, the dynamic duo quickly tore their way into the thread, accomplishing a complete and total hijack in 39 minutes.
Witnesses include Ethelon and Quidgyboo, though neither seemed appalled by the mistreatment of this thread; indeed, they appeared gleeful.
Whether or not Shiri will strike again is a mystery, but we advise you to keep on your topic, maintain it regularily, and nudge people back on track.
The suspect Shiri is armed with a post-count of 1,427, as well as an avatar that most would swear are badger/skunk thing slippers. However, Shiri insists that they are hand pupppets, though this reporter fails to make the connection.
Will this carnage of the stay-on-topic continuum continue? This reporter does not know, but he had to stick the word continuum in here somewhere to make his report look all fancy and smart.
At this point, all we can do is pray.

I'm innocent, I tell you! Innocent! It was all Shiri's idea, honest... I want immunity!
I mean, sure, a little comment here, a nudge there... but in the scheme of things how can it hurt? The thread was crying out for some uniqueness!
Can you imagine what it would be like to have dozens of threads each rehashing the same ideas over and over again?!
...
Oh, and quests on a website would be a bad idea.

Meh, I was bored.
And the topic you two were headed at were COMPLETELY irrevelant to the original idea (even if the original idea is a horrible idea ).
You'll just get 2 years. Shiri, on the other hand...

*laugh* That was extremely funny, if, er, TOTALLY INACCURATE. *cough* Yes. Really. *avoids point entirely*

Maedhros, you're awesome. I laughed more at that than I have all day long.

*sagenod* I had to concentrate very hard to avoid using the lame *roflmao* smiley thing these boards have. It took every ounce of my will. (Ironically, he's just diverted the threat even more, but there you go.)
EDIT: Also, it's ONE FREAKIN' HAND PUPPET, it's not even two, where the heck y'all get that idea I don't know.
