Yeah I can really see where Magnagora has got nowhere in realm. All those villages and dominating 90% of the realm. Gods really hate you guys.
Unknown2005-01-05 17:15:55
Yes I have looked at the quests and compared them. And the fact still remains that in the beginning Magnagora had nothing to lose. You failing in the quest did not cause you problems, you completing the quest actually SEVERELY impacts the functioning of serenwilde
EDIT: I am starting to whine, I hate when I end up whining. In the end, if its a major problem, it will get fixed, if its intended to work that way, then there is little we can do about it. I am really trying to be objective about this. Sorry if it doesnt come across that way

That seems like a lot of power fast, but can they use that spear thing to take our power if we don't initiate the crow quest?
Unknown2005-01-05 17:18:14
Celest has one easy quest, one miswoven quest, and one very quest.
Unknown2005-01-05 17:18:38
Magnagora has EARNED the villages. With hard work and dedication. Not a easily abused quest that cannot be blocked that destroys nexus power. That's what I'm trying to tell you people. Magnagora has been the cause for almost all changes done to this game because of us succeeding and blowing away the competition. Not because we're overpowered, but because we have more people willing to do what is needed.
The Divine have handed Serenwilde a gun while Magnagora has been given a stick to defend ourselves. Give us a way to remotely take power from the Moonhart without opposition and then it will be even.

Stop whining and go into serenwilde and kill them. problem solved o.o
Unknown2005-01-05 17:21:56
Shrio, obviously killing them repeatedly doesn't work. Also, the Divine have mentioned they do not want massive pk on the Prime plane. Serenwilde gave up trying to free the colts with manpower so the Divine gave them an insane quest to compensate.

I cant believe you said that, have you seen the full Crow quest? Have you compared against the relevant Hart quests? And you dare to say we had it easy...
Actually, I've managed to reason out 99% of of the Crow quest through various means and I've performed the Hart quest. The only significant differences are the violent/vs. non-violent natures of the quests and that a small portion of the Crow quest involves a mobile outside of the Glomdoring.

I'm trying to stop responding, but -- Darn you! To clarify some things:
Not to mention the planning and trial+error it takes to come up with a workable solution for getting around 40+ guards total, on top of statued rooms leading up into a one-exit indoor room that wasn't burrowable. Oh, and plus greater pentagram.
Let compare that to the colts on the hills (also mentioned in your post).:
1. You can burrow not only up to the location, but to -exact room- containing the colts (as Veonira did). Bye bye wisp defense.
2. No totems. Bye bye totem defense.
3. The room is outdoors and can be flown to directly. Bye bye guards and any totems (which aren't there anyway).
4. You can empress out of that location, thus thwarting the summoning barriers. Let's try - give grass to colts, tell Eiru empress me (in one fluid motion). Bye bye catching the invader when they try to escape.
5. There is more than 1 entrance to the room. Bye bye blocking egress via greater pentagram (ignoring for a moment the unlikelihood of enough Seren having highmagic, much less a high enough high magic skill, to maintain greater pentagram over several shifts).
My stupidity.
Nobody asked you to just give back the colts?

1) I was watching Narsrim, flying in, dropping, sprinting, giving grass and snorting spores in one fluid motion netted him those colts.

You attempted something similar by dancing down a moonbeam to me while I was on a monolith, indoors, at NOON. (By the way, was it just a screw up on your part not to hand off the grass before snorting or just my dumbluck you didn't get one?)
My stupidity.

I'm sorry we took the time and were dedicated to trying to accomplish our goals and wouldn't give them back to you just because you asked.

Someone answer my question about the spear
Surely there is some outside requirement for the quest that has the centaur take back the colts?

Unknown2005-01-05 17:26:53
like I said in my other post in this thread, I think Magnagora should have something like a zoo keeper spell that allows them to try and re capture the colt. and the centaur and zoo keeper could battle!! *shrugs*

Answer and risk the information being taken ingame? No thanks.

The spear cant be used if the colts aren't missing.

So the past few days of building this shit and the coding for both quests is now in vain and worthless and we are back to square one. Brilliant design. No progress on either side.
Daevos2005-01-05 17:39:05
It has now reached the point that I am seriously asking myself why the hell I bothered to begin with. Since no matter what I do, it wont matter. It seems that the goal of this game is not fair competition, but artificial balance in everything, even outcomes. I guess a bit of me still hopes I'm wrong though. But what can I say, this conflict has gone on for a long time, and we are progressing very slowly, even though we have devoted a enormous amount of time and effort to it. And now when we finally have a chance to move forward, this happens. They are given this ridiculous quest that seems to take about 3 hours, but can be done within Serenwilde. That not only steals the colts which are our only defense against the easy Hart quests, but also takes 1k of our power each.
Terenas2005-01-05 17:40:24
If no progress is being made, maybe Magnagora could stop this war and we can go back to just loathing each other instead of killing because that's all Serenwilde wants. Peace.
Dumihru2005-01-05 17:40:26
It generated conflict that was a lot more complex than group A squish group B, Go! Further, it was different from the village influencing that we do regularly.
How is that worthless?
Don't be putting down the work that the divine put into this just because it wasn't perfect at the start. Look at how quickly issues (on both sides) were addressed.

Hey hey hey! None of that. There are people who work very hard in creating this playground in which we call Lusternia, many volunteers who spend their valuable time trying to bring something enjoyable to us.
Be respectful.
God.. its not like you bought Parrapa The Rapper or um Jammer lammy or something
Those are the people that deserve to be disappointed!!.

I figured how the spear quest works! HAHA!
Merloch, Witch of the Serenwilde shouts, "I beseech you, great Centaur spirit. Free your children from their shackles!"
The clouds above begin to swirl and morph, creating ripples through the sky as they slowly form into a giant centaur warrior, mighty spear raised above his head.
A ghostly centaur warrior shouts, "Siiiiiiiiiiiiimbaaaaaaaaa"
'Nuff said.
